Here at Home Instead Senior Care, we proudly care for our Veterans every day. We believe that our commitment to caring for their needs is one of the most important ways we can show just how much we appreciate their service to our country and protecting our freedom.Veterans Home Care Services
1 in 3 seniors in this country is a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran.
These heroes – our fathers, mothers, spouses, and friends – may be eligible for a unique benefit through the VA called “Aid and Attendance.” This benefit provides funding of up to $25,020 a year to help keep loved ones safe and comfortable with home care.
Millions of qualifying veterans and families go without Aid and Attendance – simply because of a lack of information or a lack of help.
Through our partnership with Veterans Care Coordination, we are able to assist qualifying veterans and their spouses to apply for and obtain the Aid and Attendance Benefit through the Department of Veterans Affairs to help cover their medical expenses, including Home Instead Senior Care services.
What makes this partnership unique is the fact that Veterans Care Coordination can offer interest-free loan assistance to clients that cannot afford the up-front, out-of-pocket expense that is required.

“We have used Home Instead services for a year. There are limited veteran services in Lawrence County. We were already in the process of applying for the Aid and Attendance pension directly through the VA, but Home Instead and Veterans Care Coordination expedited the process and got it going. We might still be waiting if not for VCC. My mother’s CAREGivers assist with housekeeping, bathing, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship. I like the fact that CAREGivers come in and do what needs done – they don’t have to ask. We have really good CAREGivers now. If you’re having trouble going through the VA, they can help with paperwork. And they really know how to get it through. We didn’t want to go with a private sitter, because if that person got sick or went on vacation, my mother would have nobody. I like that Home Instead will send somebody out if a regular CAREGiver is unavailable.”
