Lorrie P. has been so helpful. I have always been an independent person, able to take care of myself and family members, having been the "family nurse" over the years. However, in the past year, I have had several major medical situations myself, the most recent being life-threatening. Lorrie stepped up and was such a great help when I got home from the hospital. She is always prompt and does things that need to be done without prompting from me. She is a good person, and I am grateful for her help during this time when I am unable to do much myself. In my opinion, she definitely deserves five stars!

My wife is 90 years old with dementia and has really bonded with her 24/7 caregivers, Cathy, Alexis, Vidalia, and Tara. With all their help, I am able to keep my wife at home. They cook for her, do light housekeeping and laundry, and sit with her and engage with her. They even get her walking and exercising to maintain good health. I am so grateful to all Cathy, Vidalia, Alexis, and Tara. Thank you

We had become so disheartened with our journey of trying to find the right care for my grandmother, MJ. We were beginning to wonder whether or not we were going to be able to find someone we could trust to take care of our beloved grandmother. When Angela came along, our prayers were answered because she has become an absolute godsend to us. My grandmother loves her care and her company as well as how astute she is with her needs. Nothing helps us sleep better knowing that MJ is in the greatest of hands.
My mother went into a rehab facility and I was not prepared for the low level of care a dementia patient with a hip replacement was going to get. I finally hit panic mode on a Sunday morning at 10AM. I called Home Instead and Dawn answered. She was at our facility in 2 hours doing paperwork with me and had a sitter there by 1PM.
The level of care my mother has received with them was amazing. Mom has done great since they have been sitting with her. She's enjoyed the sitters plus the most important thing is she has been safe and not there by herself trying to get out of bed with a hip that is not ready.
All of the companions have been great! I would like to mention, Huison (Anna) Williams, Shirley Elston, and Yong Bird. All three really went above and beyond with not just sitting with mom, but her care as well. They helped Mom and I in a time of crisis. Wonderful company.

Meta is my in-home caregiver. She is a lovely lady. She is patient and has a genuine passion in caring for others. She mostly provides companionship as I am elderly, use a walker and live alone. She performs small tasks as needed (tidies up, makes lunch, etc.) and takes me to all appointments as I also do not drive. I want to commend the Chattanooga office as well. If I have any questions, they are also kind, patient and quick to respond.
I recently needed non-emergency medical transport for my Mom - a 2x stroke victim. Home Instead was referred to me by one of my Mom’s doctors. After meeting the manager of the Cleveland Office, I knew they were the right choice to handle my needs. We were assigned Rebecca for the day who handled all transportation and transfer needs. Rebecca’s kindred spirit, warm heart and engaging smile was exactly what I wanted in a Caregiver for my Mom. She treated mom with great respect, and showed unending patience as if she was caring for her own mother. My mom has been in and out multi hospitals and rehabilitation centers over the past 5 months - at 87 she has been a warrior in handling the setbacks of 2 strokes. She is now settled in at a Memory Care facility; for me her daughter and an only child, knowing that Home Instead is a service we can rely on is a God send - Having Rebecca on my team to assist with Mom when needed is a gift and a blessing beyond words.

Although all the Home Instead caregivers were wonderful, I would like to especially compliment Carol on her days of in-home care for my cousin. She showed such compassion and wisdom, was kind and empathetic, and was there to help the family and offer advice, if needed. Her quiet presence was felt at all times! She brings such life experience to her caregiving that she is invaluable as a caregiver!! I am thankful to have gotten to know her.
My wife is a client of Home Instead. The caregiver is always on time. She's very meticulous. She does everything we ask of her and more. She's totally trouble free. She does everything right and she knows what to do. The first person that we ever had out here was very nice, but she was 18 years old. So if you told her to go, that you'd like for her to do something, half the time she didn't know how to do it. Diane knows how to do anything we ask her to do. We've been using them for about two or three months now, four hours, two days a week. Usually, she'll arrive and before she even gets in the house, sometimes she blows the leaves out of the garage, sometimes she'll do a load of laundry, sometimes she'll clean up the kitchen, and sometimes, she'll make a bed or two. We frequently ask her to help feed the birds and she never complains. There's not a set routine. My wife is not in bad enough shape to need help dressing or taking a bath or anything like that, but all these other stuff that she does saves her a lot of steps and a lot of work. She cleaned up my barbecue grill today. We try to be easy. We don't want her having to stay outside in this hot weather, but she doesn't care. She'll do it anyway. Billing is pretty smooth. I've got it set up, so that they can just automatically take the payments out of my checking account. I have to do hardly anything. I just look at it and make sure it looks right to me. It's about how simple it is.
We are very pleased with the Carepros from Home Instead. The office staff are always willing to accommodate the patient as we need them to. Sherry is always helpful, kind and remedies any issues that arise. We cannot say enough good things about Yong, she is highly favored! She is an excellent Carepro! She is the patient's favorite companion! I never have to worry when she is present. They all do a great job!

My mom is 86 years old and loves her caregivers Vickie and Natalie. With their help, she has maintained her ability to stay in her home and keep her friends close by. It means so much to her to have them visit with her, provide companionship and practical help with her laundry, opening bottles, putting things away and even walking with her so she can maintain good health. Thank you, Vickie and Natalie!
I'm thankful for Home Instead! I'm glad I have them to come to my home and assist me with my daily living activities. Ashley A. has been such a blessing to have in home and to assist me with everything that I need help with.
We had Home Instead for several years when my husband was still alive. He died last year and we continued it with me. Right now, it's two days a week, four hours each day. I have the same caregiver, and she's fairly new. She's been here about 14 times. Before that, I had another one, but she's no longer with the agency. Paris helps me around the house with housework. My groceries are delivered to the porch, and she brings them upstairs. She runs errands for me. On occasion, she takes me to a doctor appointment. Mainly, she just helps me around the house because I have a bad back. She is very nice, very sweet, young, and energetic. She is a good help.
My caregiver Nancy C. is a very loyal and efficient caregiver. She is dependable, caring, and always puts my needs first. I am very pleased with her.
Sherry is a very friendly, out-going person. She’s aware of things that need to be done and jumps right in to get them finished. She’s very complimentary of me which is nice to hear.
Vernetta is an attentive and caring home health provider. We greatly appreciate her supportive care.

My cousin was receiving care in her home from Home Instead. All the caregivers that came through the house were wonderful. They were willing to do things in the house, but also care for my cousin. She really was under hospice at that time and heavily medicated generally the last several days of her life. They're compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable. They came in for daytime hours and then they became 24/7 when I was there. I was there four days before my cousin died. They were wonderful. My cousin's son handled the medications, so the caregivers did not do that. Most of them, if not all, offered to do household chores, and they would ask, can we clean, can we cook, can we do whatever. Some of them folded laundry and they were looking for things to help the household to support the sons who were supporting their mom. It was amazing that they could do that. The one that I really want to compliment is a lady named Carol.

Mom had services with Home Instead before she went to the senior community. We've used their services off and on for the last year. We had two outstanding caregivers. At first, it was just two days a week, but within the last three weeks, they were coming every day for four hours. They did light housework, help with personal skills, companionship, and meal preparation. They didn't do medications. The first one, Mary, went above and beyond the duty of just being an outstanding companion as well as making specialty meals that my mom loved. The other aide, Kaitlyn, was very professional. She was a nursing student, so she brought all those skills along too, but she was again just an outstanding companion, engaged my mom in conversations that was very, very good, and she helped us order the bed off of Amazon for my mom's new apartment. I was lost, and she very respectfully and kindly helped us find what we needed. That was something nobody else could have done at that moment. Our contact person, Heather, was very professional and worked with us along the way. The last couple of weeks, we were adding and removing time from the schedule, and she was right there every time to make it work.
We are using Home Instead (Chattanooga, TN) which provides in-home caregivers. Originally, we had them for my aunt who since has passed away. We kept the service for my uncle for companionship to help ease into life without his wife. His uses a walker so has limited capabilities. Our caregiver is Meta. Since she was the caregiver for my aunt, she continued service for my uncle. This gave them common ground. Meta is so very kind. She listens to my uncle's stories even though they may be repeated. She also has many life stories herself which my uncle loves to hear. She helps around the house and takes him to any appointments he may have as well. In addition, the office staff have been wonderful. Communication is top level. Highly recommend Home Instead.
William Holland was a great care giver for my husband. My husband’s daily needs were met to my satisfaction. He was great at interacting with my husband both in conversation and doing things together outside of the home. Good cook! Wonderful humor & conversationalist.
Yong Bird was also a great caregiver for my husband as well as someone who enjoyed doing house keeping, laundry, helping my husband to make his bed and other essentials. Yong enjoys walking and this was a common event for them as the weather allowed. She, too, is a wonderful conversationalist. Both of these folks have been a blessing to us.
Home Instead had someone out to our home for an evaluation on Christmas Eve. Everyone involved in my husband's care was caring, respectful and compassionate. I would not hesitate to have them back should the need arise.
I have been very pleased with the care Serena has provided. She has been coming to me for 6 months and has become very familiar with my routine and habits. She is a good listener, and I need this sometimes!
Debbie my mothers caregiver has been taking care of her for years now. She has been so helpful with her care and well being. Debbie has helped so much with her willingness to change her hours to get mother to her appointments and safely back home.

Our family has been customers with Home Instead since 2016. Our goal was to get our very elderly Mom (95+) the daily help and assistance she needed to stay in her home (her most ardent wish).
Home Instead Chattanooga duly dispatched Debbie who has been with our Mom the entire time. There are many good words to describe Debbie and her work: cheerful, efficient, organized, patient, kind, and adaptable (among other positive things).
The Home Instead office has provided helpful and timely communication and in general gets high marks for administrative support.
The one area we wish they would examine is their Covid vaccination policy. Having an unvaccinated Home Instead employee come into our Mom's home daily is, to be frank, very concerning to us. So how about it, Home Instead staff?
With the exception of the above named issue, we very highly recommend Home Instead for senior care.
Home Instead is a great agency to work with. We had Home Instead in California and when I found out they were here in Tennessee I was elated. My husband’s caregiver is extremely helpful. Not only is he a caregiver he is an amazing companion. Not only is he an asset to my husband, he’s also an asset for me. Our caregiver is always on time and we all get along great. This agency is quick to respond to all our requests. Our caregiver is Stephen and he is greatly appreciated.
My husband is using Home Instead. The caregiver does a great job for us. We've been using them for two months now, two days a week. The service is very good. She comes in and does whatever needs to be done. She's always early, never late, always a good attitude. We just feel loved and cared for. She helps me and she helps my husband. He's bedridden, so she mainly just helps to keep him comfortable. She does light housework. She does cooking. We've been having a lot of company and she jumps right in there and helps us prepare for the company to come. Just whatever she needs to do, she does it. She has a big heart of love.

My family members have now relocated, but Felicia will be remembered as a treasured friend and companion during the time she was with us.
With Home Instead, my mother was able to stay in her home until she passed away. Initially she was resistant to having someone she didn’t know in her home but the caregivers quickly became like family to her. Their companionship kept her laughing and engaged while they also did the chores that kept the household going (laundry, cooking, cleaning, taking her to appointments, etc). The services they provided were a great relief to me and my sisters since none of us live in the area. She loved all of her caregivers but Sarah, Crystal and Bill all held special places in her heart. They were more than caregivers, they were her friends and companions. She was teaching Bill to play Bridge and he was teaching her and her friends how to play Poker. Home Instead as a company was great to work with and addressed any questions or concerns we had promptly. I cannot thank our care coordinator Sherry B. enough for her support, her visits to check in on my mom and making sure my mom was well cared for. Home Instead was definitely the right choice for my mom and I would highly recommend their services.

Sarah Cicilio has been a perfect fit for our needs. She takes excellent care of Patricia especially her hair do after shower. Patricia is comfortable with and appreciates her care. Sarah takes on general housekeeping, on her own, and the place is spotless when she leaves. We had the Home Instead-Cleveland team care for my father during his final weeks. Kathleen was wonderful! - she not only took excellent care of his physical needs, but she spent time talking with him, even though he was only able to communicate via writing notes. Sherry worked to find coverage for us on very short notice when we added an additional day to the schedule. Overall, our experience was excellent. Caregivers arrived on time, and made sure everything was clean and in order before they left for the day. We highly recommend this team.

Our dear Mom, Bertie, has always been an independent and self-sufficient lady, but once she quit driving in 2016 we reached out to Home Instead for assistance. It began as just a few hours per week for help for light cleaning and errands, then meals and more. All of our caregivers were fabulous!! Mary Smith, Shirley Elston, and Doris Cothern were especially attentive and provided loving care and companionship..... we could not have made it without these ladies! Unfortunately Alzheimer's forced us to move Mom into assisted living this month, but thanks to Home Instead and these wonderful ladies she was able to stay in her own home for a very long time. I highly recommend Home Instead in choosing the perfect care-giver for your precious loved one.

I want to tell you how happy I am to be with Home Instead! Vickie Smith is a Very Good Care Giver as a matter of fact she is Great! If I need anything she does it for me immediately and very well!!! I can always trust Vickie, she is very honest and I never have to worry about her which I very much appreciate it! She cares very much and she really tries very hard to anticipate my needs! She tries to take care of me before I ask her! As soon as she comes in the morning, and she is always on time or a little bit early! She cleans wonderfully and cooks wonderfully and is a great driver and a very sweet person! She always takes good care of me personally!!! She is great and any time I have someone

Simply put, my mom would no longer be able to live in her own home without the wonderful services provided by Home Instead. We are very pleased with mom's caregiver Kathy G., who has given mom tremendous care and compassion on a daily basis. The management staff is always very professional and eager to help.

They both have been with us for nearly 2 years and took such wonderful care of my mom and dad . They are both a blessing and are now considered a special part of our family. The caregivers were fantastic for my mother. They were able to relate to her and make a personal connection. Our situation changed rapidly and staff and management responded from limited care to 24/7 care on the very same day it was requested. I was impressed to say the least. I received excellent advice as my mother transitioned to assisted living. I fully recommend HISC.
My mom has been CARED for by helpers from Home Instead since July 2015. She is by her own admission persnickety, but HI made every effort to accommodate her wishes and match her with compatible Caregivers. She could not have remained in her own apartment as long as she did without these very helpful, caring, compassionate folks. She decided when she "can't remember what to tell my girls what to do" that she needed to go to an assisted living facility. We were ready to have her have HI helpers 24/7 at her apartment, if she had wanted to do that. I really appreciate their reporting of concerns and their willingness to work with Mama to get just the right people for her. I recommend the Chattanooga office to anyone needing in-home senior care!
A month ago, my grandmother came home after breaking her hip, and we had a very nice woman named Blakely Coker come out and sit with her every day. She did more than we asked. She helped my grandmother with her exercises. She even did her laundry because she saw how tired my mom is. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone at this place. You won't be disappointed
I love Home instead. Having someone I can depend on to care for my husband so I have some time for myself helps me to regroup and refresh myself. I don’t know what I would do if I was not able to have them here and knowing that my husband is in excellent care makes me feel good about it when I am gone.
Home Instead is nice. I have one lady that comes four days and one lady comes to fill out the rest of the week. For three hours a day, they come into my home and they do light housekeeping for me like the laundry. I am very satisfied; I have no complaints at all. They were not late, but if they had to do that, they would inform me that they are running late. Their rate is good compared to other places.
I have a caregiver from Home Instead -- nothing medical. She always comes in. She does light housekeeping, puts the laundry in, checks the dishes, plays with my dogs, makes my bed, and picks up the everyday nonsense that gets to the house. I don't have to fight with my children now when I need them to take me somewhere or I need this and I need that. I'm very happy. The doctors noticed that I'm a lot calmer, and I don't have the issues I had before.
I feel very lucky to have Home Instead providing their caring services for me. They are very kind and considerate.
I am very happy with services I use. Of particular note is Sam's quick and friendly scheduling and Ruth's abilities with my wife Margaret.
