At Home Instead, we're always looking for events that seniors and families can enjoy, and we spotlight them here for you! The Mt. Pleasant Library is hosting its monthly Cookbook Club Potluck, and this December, they are adding a plant-based twist. It’s a "book club-meets-potluck" where neighbors cook a dish from a selected book and bring it in to share.
This month’s featured books are “The Vegan Holiday Cookbook” by Marie Laforêt and “The Super Fun Times Vegan Holiday Cookbook” by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. Even if you aren't a vegan, these recipes are crowd-pleasers. The event is Tuesday, December 16th, from 5:30 to 7pm at the Mt. Pleasant Library, 1133 Mathis Ferry Rd.
Spaces are limited, and registration is required! To make sure folks aren't cooking too many of the same dish, please let them know what you’re preparing when you sign up. You can register by calling 843-849-6161, emailing [email protected], or visiting the calendar at ccpl.org.
While Home Instead isn't running the kitchen for this one, we are huge fans of any event that keeps our seniors active. Whether we are providing specialized home care in Mount Pleasant, SC, or simply encouraging you to try a new recipe, our goal is to help you savor every moment of the season.
