The River of the Year Keynote: Conestoga River Past, Present, and Future is happening this Wednesday, June 10th, at Lancaster County Park, 1050 Rockford Rd. The Conestoga River won "River of the Year," so the town is throwing a celebration centered around the park pavilions.
Event Highlights:
- 8am The Past: A free program at Pavilion 1 honoring the watershed legacy of Dr. Ruth Patrick, complete with complimentary coffee and refreshments.
- 8:45am The Present: A guided $25 networking boat tour of the river corridor highlighting local restoration projects (shuttles depart from Pavilion 1).
- Noon - 1:30 The Future: A free press conference. The DCNR Secretary will show the commemorative poster, then a $15 buffet lunch and presentation on the river's 2040 healing plan.
