For Kaitlyn, the reward is in the connection. "That it's a rewarding job, and it serves a purpose. People will always need help, and elders are the most vulnerable. To help people that actually need my help, that's the biggest reward. I have known for a long time that I am supposed to help people, and I have found my way on doing it," Kaitlyn shares. Through these shared moments, Kaitlyn has learned valuable life lessons, noting, "Keeping my sense of humor. There are long days, there are bad days, and they can be gone through. Keep smiling, keep being myself."
Kaitlyn's daily goal is simple: ensure every client feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Skilled in dementia, memory care, hospice, companionship, etc., Kaitlyn finds joy in the details of each visit. "I'm constantly busy. I get to go to a lot of client's homes and evaluate them and their situations. I get to be a part of their journey and I'm able to help them the best way that I can," Kaitlyn says of a typical day.
Kaitlyn praises the local team for their dedication and communication. "That we're nationwide and widely known," Kaitlyn notes. "That we work together to solve problems, mostly. Communication could improve, but it's something that we're all learning and that each of us has a specific job."
