Preston, Owner
Preston Roth’s passion for senior care began while caring for his grandfather, "Opa," during college, inspiring him to build a business that gives back to the community. As the owner of Home Instead, Preston is committed to helping seniors maintain independence in their own homes. He is deeply inspired by the compassion of his caregivers and the impact they make daily. Before Home Instead, Preston worked at Nike as a Divisional Product Manager. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and nurturing his faith, finding strength in his relationship with God.

Brittany Goddard, PHR, Managing Director
With 18 years of experience in senior care, Brittany’s passion for serving others began with her respect for the elders in her community. Starting as a caregiver, she now leads a team dedicated to providing high-quality care for seniors and their families. Brittany is driven by empathy, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves to age with dignity. Her favorite part of Home Instead is the family-like culture and the chance to make a lasting impact. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys exploring new places, spending time with loved ones, and expanding her knowledge.

Sara Hoffman, MSW, Lead Care Coordinator
Inspired by her Grandma Teddy, Sara found her passion in senior care after a career as a Veterinary Technician and earning a Master's in Social Work. At Home Instead, she is dedicated to helping seniors live comfortably at home, going above and beyond for her clients. Outside of work, Sara enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her husband and two dogs. Her belief in patience and compassion drives her daily, as she finds deep fulfillment in making a difference in the lives of seniors. Sara is also always up for new adventures, like her dream of skydiving.

Rachael McDermott, Client Care Manager
Driven by her admiration for the elderly, Rachael found her passion in senior care, where she feels right at home. Her psychology background helps her connect deeply with the seniors she serves, and she finds fulfillment in making a positive difference in their lives. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with loved ones. She embraces each day with determination, much like her favorite character, Dory from Finding Nemo. Rachael’s compassion and dedication make her an essential part of the Home Instead team, where she values the supportive, close-knit community.

Kathy Pedly, RN
With extensive experience in hospitals and surgery centers, Kathy transitioned to senior care, finding joy in meeting and training caregivers. She’s passionate about helping them form meaningful connections with seniors, ensuring top-quality care. Kathy treasures the wisdom seniors offer and values their independence at home. Known for her problem-solving skills and positive attitude, Kathy thrives on building relationships and providing compassionate, personalized care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs and recharging her spirit. She loves being part of a team that’s truly dedicated to exceptional senior care.

Jessica Beecher, LPN
Jessica Beecher is an integral part of Home Instead as our resident nurse. An LPN studying to become an RN, she expertly liaises with clients' doctors and creates personalized medication plans. Jessica also serves on the safety committee, ensuring the well-being of our clients and staff. A mom of three, she’s known for her fun, Harry Potter-themed office (the coolest at Home Instead) and her green thumb, which fills the space with thriving plants. Fun fact: Jessica is also related to Walt Disney, adding a touch of magic to everything she does!

Allen Evans, Lead Scheduler
With 18 years of experience at Foster Creek Long Term Care Facility, Allen Evans brings a deep understanding of caregiving to his role as Lead Scheduler at Home Instead. His background helps him expertly balance the needs of both clients and caregivers. A devoted husband and father, Allen is also a barbecue enthusiast and believes in the power of positive psychology. His warm presence and contagious smile light up any room, making him an invaluable part of the Home Instead team. Allen's dedication and positive energy inspire everyone around him.

Kim Hogue, Staffing Coordinator
Kim’s deep respect for seniors and love for meaningful conversations inspired her to pursue a career in senior care. As a Staffer at Home Instead, she finds joy in helping seniors stay in their homes and ensuring they maintain a high quality of life. Known for her compassionate approach, Kim believes every client deserves the same care she would want for her own family. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. Kim cherishes the family-like atmosphere at Home Instead and is proud to be part of a team dedicated to improving seniors' lives.

Carey Schrader, Lead HR Coordinator
With over 12 years as an HR manager and seven years in senior care, Carey brings vast experience and heart to Home Instead. She loves the opportunity to help seniors stay in the comfort of their own homes and values the strong sense of family in the team. Outside of work, Carey enjoys caring for her father, spending time with her cats, and surprising friends with her karaoke skills. Her proudest achievement? Being named Employee of the Year, reflecting her dedication to making a real difference in senior care.

Amanda Kielmeyer, Front Office Coordinator, On-Call Lead
Amanda’s passion for caregiving stems from her personal experience caring for her Grandmother. She believes in the importance of helping seniors stay in the comfort of their own homes, where their memories and security lie. Transitioning from CarePro to Admin, Amanda values the family-like community at Home Instead. When not at work, she enjoys disc golf, hiking, and camping. Her favorite motto: "Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn," keeps her motivated, along with her workday anthem, "Lovely Day by Bill Withers."

Maria Sheehan, Recruitment Coordinator
Maria’s passion for senior care was sparked by her experience caring for her mother in her final days. Determined to make a difference, she joined Home Instead, where she finds fulfillment in helping seniors live independently. Maria takes pride in hiring compassionate caregivers who positively impact seniors' lives. Before joining Home Instead, she worked in sales, marketing, and HR. In her free time, Maria enjoys photography, jewelry design, and crafting. She is motivated by her dedicated team and the knowledge that their work truly makes a difference.

Alisha Van Lom, Care Coordinator
Alisha's passion for senior care began when her grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, sparking her journey as a caregiver at just 19. With over a decade of experience and a degree in Social Work, Alisha is dedicated to improving the lives of seniors, particularly those with dementia. She finds joy in making a positive impact on her clients' lives and values the collaborative team at Home Instead. Outside of work, Alisha enjoys hiking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with loved ones. A fun fact: she can sing all 50 states in alphabetical order!

Margarita Melendez, Caregiver & On-Call Coordinator
Margarita has been a caregiver for over six years, a journey that started unexpectedly but became her true passion. She finds immense joy in supporting those in need and making a positive impact in their lives.
Outside of work, Margarita cherishes spending time with family and friends. She enjoys Mexican food, hiking, shopping, and indulging in her favorite Dutch Bros coffee. Known for her compassion and dedication, Margarita is a vital part of the Home Instead team, bringing reliability and warmth to every interaction.

Valencia Banks, Client Care Coordinator
Valencia Banks is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Inspired by a personal experience that showed her the power of compassionate care, she is dedicated to supporting clients and their families with kindness and understanding. As a Client Care Coordinator at Home Instead, she finds fulfillment in knowing that even the smallest act of care can have a meaningful impact.
Outside of work, Valencia enjoys arts and crafts, music, and dancing. She's also a proud dog mom.

Christina Flores, Client Care Assistant
Christina brings heart to her role as Client Care Assistant at Home Instead. Raised by her grandparents on a 120-acre farm in Boring, Oregon, her connection to older adults runs deep—something she embraces proudly as an "old soul." Before joining Home Instead, Christina served as an Activities Director at an independent living community, where she launched everything from Family Feud nights to armchair drumming classes.
A proud mom of three and devoted baseball fan, Christina spends her free time cheering on her son from the bleachers, gardening, cooking, or floating the river with her family. She shares her home with two cats, Lucas and Lola, and still swoons over Regency-era dramas like Bridgerton. To Christina, caregiving isn’t just a job—it’s personal, and that’s exactly how she approaches each day.

Our Auto Team
This is one our Home Instead Vehicles! We have 4 wrapped cars traveling in Clackamas and Multnomah Counties.
Their role is to get our Client Care Manager Team to our senior's homes for visits, care plan updates, help Caregivers who might need something and to spread the word about Home Instead and how we can help!
