Monica Smith - General Manager
Monica comes to Home Instead with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has over 25 years working with older adults and is a proven leader in the field of aging.
Monica holds a Master of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She began her career in cardiac rehab and later worked with over sixty faith communities as a liaison between the hospital system and parish nurses and health ministers. She has spent many years as an executive director in senior living communities, specifically memory care, winning awards for best practices.
Monica is very passionate about her work with older adults and is best known for her work in whole-person wellness. She has spoken both locally and nationally and participated in several articles on the topic. Creating a culture of whole-person wellness is a core value for Monica. Meeting people where they are in their journey, anticipating their needs, providing guidance and support, and having a positive approach is what Monica does best.
In her free time, Monica looks forward to hanging out with family and friends. She enjoys the simple things in life, especially laughing and having fun with her grandchildren.
Moon Patel - Operations Manager
Moon is a highly experienced recruiter with 6 years of expertise and an MBA, offering a unique blend of business insight and talent acquisition skills. Moon is adept at managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from identifying talent needs to onboarding. Known for her ability to quickly source and attract top candidates, she brings a consultative approach to working with hiring managers, ensuring that each placement supports long-term business objectives. She leverages advanced HR technology to optimize the hiring process, all while maintaining a personalized touch that builds lasting relationships with clients and candidates.
Jessica Ball – Client Care Coordinator
Jessica joins the team as a Client Care Coordinator, bringing over 15 years of experience in nonprofit, ministry, and care settings. With a deep commitment to client advocacy and support, she excels in creating personalized care plans that empower individuals and families.
As a devoted mother of many, Jessica understands the importance of nurturing relationships and the unique challenges families face. She enjoys spending quality time with her children and loves outdoor activities, believing that nature fosters connection and healing.

With a strong background in coordination, communication, and leadership, Lina helps guide scheduling operations, support caregivers, and address concerns with empathy and understanding. She take pride in building trusting relationships and creating a positive experience for everyone involved while supporting a team dedicated to making a meaningful difference every day.
Stephanie Rooks - Lead Care Pro/Office Assistant
Stephanie is a dedicated and experienced Trainer, Office Assistant, and Lead Care Pro with over 15 years of experience supporting organizational operations, employee development, and workplace efficiency. She has a strong background in customer service, utilizing a people-centered, solutions-focused approach to ensure training initiatives are engaging, effective, and aligned with organizational goals. In her role as Lead CarePro, she is responsible for training and onboarding all new hires and is relied upon to report to shifts as needed, helping maintain continuity of care and operational stability. Known for her reliability, attention to detail, and positive professionalism, Stephanie excels at managing multiple responsibilities while fostering welcoming and supportive environments. Outside of her professional work, she values time with her family, is actively involved in her church, and expresses her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit through operating her own web-based boutique—reflecting her commitment to excellence in all she does.
