We have used home instead to help support our residents. They have been great partners and very responsive to all our request and needs!
Home Instead consistently provided quality caregivers and were able to add care as needs increased. The administrative staff were very knowledgeable as well as kind and responsive, helping us to provide the best and most efficient care for my mother. The care givers were reliable, self starters who were friendly and caring and made my mom feel safe and well cared for. We had used another agency before Home Instead and were not happy with them at all, we asked for a recommendation from the hospital social worker and she recommended Home Instead because she had "never heard a complaint about them". We are very grateful that she recommended them as it worked out beautifully.
I am a current client. Since then I have had experience with 2 other agencies and had gone back to Home Instead Dayton. Their customer support is superior to the other agencies I dealt with. They addressed my concerns and kept me in the loop. Their client coordinator follows up to ensure that my experience is beneficial to my overall well-being.
The agency provides night care 4 times a week, from 11PM to 7AM, and daycare twice a week, for 4 hours a day.They have always arrived on time or even a little early. If someone will be late, the agency always calls to let me know that. My husband, with Parkinson's and dementia, is the one who needs the actual help, and by extension, so do I! They have all been very tuned in to his needs, and he has liked them all. Circumstances have dictated having to change caregivers several times, and the agency has worked well with us to give us unbroken service. When possible, they have brought the new caregiver to our home ahead of time to meet us and have me show them the care that's required. This is especially important for the night care, so my husband doesn't suddenly wake up to a stranger. Their communication skills are excellent! They check in with us from time to time to make sure all is going well. Caregivers arrive promptly, or even a little early, and are friendly and helpful; I can't say enough good things about the two people we have presently! They are patient with my husband and treat him with great kindness. I am so grateful that I chose Home Instead!
Home Instead allows my 100 year old Mother, who is legally blind, to stay in her familiar surroundings. They are always on time and adjust the schedule whenever we request a change. They provide social interaction, read her mail, grocery shopping, laundry and help her keep up with family/ friend birthdays which is so important to my Mom. My brother and I live in different cities. Home Instead care givers turn a difficult situation into a pleasant experience for my Mother.

In the last months of his life, Home Instead played a vital role, providing 24-hour care for my father who suffered from a difficult long-term illness. Aids with all ADL care, since I am total care. Always on time and lets us know if there is a conflict. She makes us laugh and de stresses us through laughter and caring, especially with the huge challenge facing us on a daily basis. Agency has been wonderful about keeping the same wonderful angel for us and we trust her completely. We had several the first 2 months, but were very glad the client care coordinator honored our request for only her services. It was a real struggle at the start until our angel came into the picture, and we are forever grateful to our client care coordinator for sending her.

She takes her to appointments, grocery shopping and activities in the building. Jan also communicates to me daily so i know what is going on.
The staff and individual caregivers have been exceptional. They were able to support an immediate need for 24 hour support for the care of my wife. Our continuing caregiver is has provided complete error free and compassionate services. Our case manager remains available 24/7 and has remained in touch and aware of changing needs. Her responsiveness to these changing needs makes her quite invaluable to assuring excellence in the services provided.
