Our Senior Solutions Center
The Senior Solutions Center is located at Home Instead in Succasunna, NJ. The mission of the center is to empower and educate family caregivers and their senior loved ones by providing useful information to help understand the many aspects of the changing face of aging. The center contains comfy seating, a computer, and wooden racks stocked with pamphlets on senior topics such as communicating with older adults and siblings, senior nutrition and exercise, multi-generational living and coping with Alzheimer’s disease.

“Many times family caregivers don’t know where to look for answers to these kinds of questions,” Andrea Sussman, MSW and franchise owner said. The Senior Solutions Center, free and open to the public, has been created to help families and their loved ones learn about these issues to make the most of the senior years. Steve Sussman, franchise owner, already markets Home Instead services as “solutions” so using the space as something solution oriented makes perfect sense. The center is an example of how this Home Instead office works to take the lead, build trust and share their hearts with the community.
In addition to the various pamphlet and paper materials offered, the computer is formatted to contain folders on specific senior topics such as communication, elder law and finance, and health and wellness. Each folder has links to Home Instead micro-sites and links to select referral provider websites and community resources. The center is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm and other times by appointment. The Home Instead staff is well versed in all areas of information provided and are readily available to assist visitors with research.
