After Lincoln experienced several record-breaking heat waves last summer, with temperatures soaring well into the 90s and even topping 100°F, it’s a reminder of just how dangerous extreme heat can be, especially for seniors. Older adults are more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses, making it incredibly important that they have access to safe, cool environments throughout the hottest months.
Home Instead is stepping up once again to help local seniors beat the heat this summer. Throughout June, we’re collecting fan donations to benefit Aging Partners. Every fan donated helps ensure that a senior in our community has a better chance of staying cool and healthy this summer.
