On Call Coordinator

At Home Instead, we’re seeking a compassionate and reliable On-Call Coordinator/Caregiver who can also assist in the office 3–5 mornings per week (half-days). This flexible, hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a support role, and wants to make a real difference in seniors’ lives.

Key Responsibilities:
As On-Call Coordinator (Every Other Week – Evenings & Weekends):
- Respond to client and Care Professional needs after hours (M–F after 4:30 PM and all day Saturday/Sunday).
- Coordinate schedule changes and ensure shift coverage in a timely, efficient, and compassionate manner.
- Take incoming calls with professionalism and urgency.
- Personally fill in for open caregiver shifts if no coverage is available.
- Document all activities and shift details in our system and share with the team post-shift.
- Schedule care consultations when necessary and assist with new client inquiries.
As Office Assistant (3–5 Half-Days Per Week, Mornings):
- Support the office with light administrative duties such as data entry, organizing documentation, making phone calls, and assisting with caregiver paperwork.
- Provide general office support to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Morning schedule is preferred but can be flexible based on your availability.

Requirements:
- Must live within our Home Instead territory (Central Nebraska).
- Must be available for on-call shifts every other week (M–F 4:30 PM–8 AM and 24/7 on weekends).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
- Must be willing and able to work occasional caregiver shifts if needed.
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working with a variety of clients (male/female, smokers, pets, hospice care, etc.).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
