Position: Business Development Advisor/Sales Consultant

Location: Based in Norfolk, NE; travel required throughout Northeast Nebraska

Position Summary:

The Business Development Advisor is a strategic sales and outreach role designed to drive market expansion. In this high-impact position, you'll identify growth opportunities, develop relationships with healthcare professionals, and serve as a consultative resource for prospective clients and families. Your focus will be on increasing referrals, supporting new care starts, and positioning Home Instead as the trusted choice in senior care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Develop and execute targeted strategies to expand Home Instead’s presence and meet referral goals.
  • Relationship Building: Engage with healthcare providers, senior communities, and referral partners to increase visibility and trust.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Home Instead at local events and outreach initiatives.
  • Client Consultations: Conduct in-home care consultations and assist with new client starts when needed.
  • Independent Field Role: Work autonomously in the community, managing your schedule and sales activities with minimal oversight.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 1+ year in home care, health care, or senior-related industry; equivalent experience considered
  • Proven sales record and experience in a quota-carrying or outside field sales role
  • Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel throughout Northeast Nebraska
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • Experience in hands-on direct care
  • Existing relationships with healthcare providers in Northeast Nebraska
  • B2B/B2C healthcare or senior services sales experience
  • Knowledge of Medicaid waiver, VA, and private pay services
  • College degree preferred
