Weekend On-Call Care Professional – Minot, ND & Surrounding Areas

Home Instead | Weekend Availability Role

Be There When It Matters Most.
Home Instead is seeking reliable, compassionate Weekend On-Call Care Professionals to support our clients when coverage is most critical.


Pay & Compensation

  • $18.00–$20.00/hour for any shifts worked
    (Pay based on experience and availability)

  • $3.00/hour on-call retainer for maintaining open availability during assigned weekends

  • Overtime and holiday pay when applicable

  • Mileage reimbursement

On-call pay applies for the full on-call window when availability requirements are met.


Schedule Expectations

  • Weekends only

  • On-call period runs from 4:30 PM Friday to 8:30 AM Monday

  • Scheduled one weekend every 2–3 weeks

  • Must be able to respond promptly and arrive at client homes within our service territory

This role requires full availability during your assigned weekend.

Your Role

As a Weekend On-Call Care Professional, you may be assigned to assist established clients with a variety of care needs, including:

Companionship & Home Helper Services

  • Meal preparation

  • Light housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Transportation

  • Medication reminders

  • Safety assistance

  • Basic respite care

  • Companionship and engagement

Personal Care, Hospice & Specialized Support

  • Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Transfer assistance

  • Hospice support (including bedbound clients)

  • Behavior management

  • Advanced care support as needed


What You Bring

  • A compassionate, dependable, and flexible mindset

  • Ability to remain on standby and respond quickly

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

  • A working cell phone for constant communication

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

No prior caregiving experience required.
We provide comprehensive paid training to prepare you for success.


Service Area

Care assignments may occur in Minot, ND, and surrounding communities within the S-6 Senior Services territory.
