Hiring Part-Time Home Care Nurse for Wake County

Join us as a Nurse Leader to drive clinical excellence through personalized care planning, in-home assessments, and quality assurance. In this role, you’ll directly impact senior lives while mentoring our team as a lead instructor in our CAREGiver training program.

Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.

Looking for Registered Nurse with both Home Care and Training experience.

Enjoy the freedom to build your own mid-week schedule! This 20–30 hour role requires Mondays and Fridays as "anchor days" for our team, with the flexibility to choose your other hours. Occasional weekend visits ensure our seniors receive consistent, high-quality care.

We service Wake County. Cities included: Raleigh, Knightdale, Wake Forest, Garner, Clayton, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina and surrounding areas .

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Train and supervise new CAREGivers ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional service
  • Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments; accurately document client status and adjust care plans to meet evolving needs
  • Perform Quality Assurance Assessments and Reassessments
  • Help maintain compliance with all Home Instead Corporate, Federal, State, and Local standards and regulations
  • Work closely with Home Instead Team

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid RN license in good standing with the NC Board of Nursing.
  • Three years’ experience in a home care setting
  • Previous geriatric, training, and sales experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written skills with a knack for active listening
  • A patient, congenial demeanor when interacting with clients and staff
  • Proven ability to work toward common goals within a team
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a solid understanding of the senior care industry
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid car insurance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
