First of i have to shout out to my personal carepro home professional patricia B. She is amazing. I am extremely grateful for the care and support provided to me as a disabled veteran. The caregivers are compassionate, dependable, respectful, and truly understand the importance of helping veterans maintain their independence and quality of life. They treat me with dignity, listen to my needs, and consistently go above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and well cared for. Finding people you can trust in your home is very important, and I have felt supported and respected throughout my experience. I highly recommend this home care service to other veterans, disabled individuals, and families looking for dependable and compassionate care.

They have been so loving and caring as if my aunt and uncle were part of their family. Cissy, Christy, Michelle, Pat, and Deb are our regulars and you could not ask for a greater group of people who work as a team and are in constant communications with the family, myself and sister. Meet Deborah H, a heartbeat of the Home Instead Mooresville team. Deborah comes to us with a background in i have been a registered nurse since 1973, have worked in hospital ,clinic, and home care settings. i have 35 yrs of home care experience working with clients under medicaid, medicare, private pay, and ltc insurance. i have been involved with policy development. i am an air force veteran having worked in the nurse corp with field experience. i received my bsn at valdosta states college in valdosta georgia before i went overseas with my family. while overseas i accomplished 1,000 hours volunteer time with the american red cross.. With 9.5 yrs at Home Instead, Deborah has built relationships rooted in trust, compassion, and shared joy.
For Deborah, the reward is in the connection. "I love to listen to their stories they share about their life experiences, what they think they need. I love to talk about the family photos they have and their lives," Deborah shares. Through these shared moments, Deborah has learned valuable life lessons, noting, "It's important to remember we do not always know the whole story of what is happening. to our clients. We need to remember to be kind and really listen to what is happening so we can be effective healthcare providers."
Deborah's daily goal is simple: ensure every client feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Skilled in my focus has been medical surgical in nature and proactive care. although i have cared for people at end-of -life. i much prefer helping to support people in their, Deborah finds joy in the details of each visit. "No two days are alike. It keeps life engaged and interesting," Deborah says of a typical day.
Deborah praises the local team for their dedication and communication. "We are unique in what we do because of our capability to provide care over longer periods of time and with more hours than Medicare - based agencies. Most people i have encountered who are receiving Medicare benefits ask "Well who is going to be able to come help me take a showers and help me dress every day, and make my meals, and do my laundry and get my mail?" They often do not want to know when the nurse is coming but when their aide is coming," Deborah notes. "We are compassionate with each other and with clients and their family members. We have been true to our core values and strive every day to coordinate and deliver care with those values in mind. Core values are important to us and that is in alignment with what I feel is important."
In every way, Deborah reflects the heart of caregiving: consistency, connection, and the quiet pride of knowing you've made someone's life better today.
