Community means a lot when you're recovering after a stroke. If you are a survivor, a family member, or a caregiver, finding a group that understands the recovery process can make all the difference. The Home Instead team is excited that we found a local resource that provides that exact kind of connection and support right here in Salisbury.
The Rowan County Stroke Support Group meets on the first Monday of every month from 4 to 5pm at the J.F. Hurley Family YMCA, 828 Jake Alexander Blvd W. These sessions provide education, encouragement, and a sense of hope. Each meeting features guest speakers who share valuable information related to stroke recovery, covering topics that help survivors and their families navigate the road ahead with confidence. This group offers a safe space to share stories, ask questions, and build friendships with others who are facing similar challenges.
While our caregivers provide the best home care in Rowan County, NC, we will continue sharing information about groups like this because social connection is so important when you're recovering or providing care for a loved one.
