The complex world of eldercare can be a lot to manage on your own. For family caregivers in our neighborhood, knowing exactly where to turn for support makes a huge difference in managing their daily tasks. To help bridge that gap, the team at Home Instead set out for the Rowan County Events Center to join in the local Caregiver Day event.
The whole day was packed with presentations that offered caregiving strategies, fun door prizes, and the highlight of the day was the Caregiver Resource Fair, which brought together organizations from all over town that live to support older adults and their loved ones. Leah, our Community Service Representative, provided insights on how families can access additional assistance, such as respite services, as part of our home care in Rowan County, NC.
