About the Role:
The Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator at Home Instead plays a vital role in expanding compassionate in-home care by leading recruitment, training, and engagement efforts for our Care Professionals (Care Pros). This position fosters a positive work environment, supports growth goals, and reduces turnover while embodying our core values of empathy, caring, respect, integrity, professionalism, and community focus.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead recruitment efforts including managing the ATS system, engaging applicants, conducting interviews, and collaborating with Scheduling on staffing needs
- Build relationships with candidates and guide them through the hiring process
- Lead orientation and new hire training, including specialized training such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia care
- Oversee ongoing education and update training materials as needed
- Develop and implement caregiver engagement and retention strategies
- Conduct performance reviews, facilitate quarterly meetings, and prepare monthly newsletters
- Plan recognition programs, events, and initiatives to boost team morale
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and applicable labor laws (EOE, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- Maintain strong communication with leadership, team members, Care Pros, clients, and families
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 night per week and 1 weekend per month)
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
- Facilitation or training experience (or equivalent work/education experience)
- Experience working with older adults, families, or caregivers is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Self-starter with initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with a passion for making a meaningful impact
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical business practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management software preferred
- Education in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Gerontology, or related field preferred (not required)
- Availability for evenings/weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if client visits are required)
