For two decades, Home Instead’s Be a Santa to a Senior program has been spreading holiday joy to older adults who may otherwise spend the season without gifts or visitors. From cozy blankets and puzzles to teddy bears and personal care items, these simple but meaningful presents remind seniors that their community cares. Last year, thanks to you, we adopted 1,532 seniors and brightened their holidays with gifts.
As we prepare for another season of giving, Home Instead of Metairie is reaching out for a little help from the community. To make this program possible, we need a donated space of at least 700 square feet equipped with air conditioning for storing gifts between December 1 and December 19. Preferably near Metairie, but anywhere in Greater New Orleans works!
If you have a space to share, reach out to Scarlet Plocher at [email protected]
With your help, Be a Santa to a Senior can make the holidays brighter for seniors. As we strive to provide the best home care in Metairie, LA, we will continue to make sure no senior feels forgotten this season.
