Indianapolis Notable Event Consumer Protection and Scam Prevention

It seems like there is a new scam popping up every time we check our phones. With tech support impersonation, Medicare scams, and grandparent/emergency pleas, it can feel harder than ever to stay one step ahead of fraudsters. The Home Instead team spotted an event that will sharpen your defensive skills and protect your hard-earned assets.

On Thursday, February 19th, from 1 to 2pm, the Indianapolis Public Library, 2121 W Michigan St, is hosting a special presentation on Consumer Protection and Scam Prevention. Experts from the Indiana Attorney General’s Office will break down the most common scams targeting Hoosiers and explain how to spot the red flags. You’ll also learn about the new Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act, which gives you more control over how companies use your information. The Attorney General's team will be there to show you how to exercise those rights.

We love sharing events like this because financial safety is a huge part of remaining independent at home. While our team is providing the best home care in Indianapolis, we want to make sure our neighbors are just as protected online and over the phone as they are in their living rooms. This event is free, but registration is encouraged, so sign up on the Consumer Protection and Scam Prevention Event Page.
