Michael Bunnell, Franchise Owner
The Home Instead Senior Care franchise office is located in Greenwood, IN and serves Johnson, Morgan and Shelby counties. Mike decided to open the Home Instead Senior Care franchise because of his desire to serve the senior population in a meaningful way and provide much needed services in Johnson, Shelby and Morgan Counties.
Mike is a proud Hoosier, and enjoyed a 35+ year career as an accomplished executive in the healthcare technology industry working for Fortune 100 companies such as Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group, Siemens Medical, and Respironics. After his successful corporate career he established his own consulting practice focused on helping small to medium sized companies with strategic growth planning and product commercialization strategies. His career has included experiences with technologies and system products that crossed the complete care continuum; critical care through home care. His consulting engagements and experiences in the homecare and sleep medicine markets led him back to Indy and his HISC franchise acquisition.
Mike has three children and a Golden Retriever. He has been actively involved in all the communities he has lived in over the past 40+ year serving on various foundation boards, BSA committees, athletic organizations, and local church and school boards.
Rebekah Bower - General Manager
Rebekah is Home Instead's General Manager and has been with Home Instead since 2018. She is responsible for performing all Client care consultations and assessments of current and oncoming clients. Rebekah oversees scheduling, Care Professional and Client relations, education and skills training, and quality of care being provided to our clients. Before Home Instead, Rebekah was caring for seniors for 8 years in a caregiving role and in a management role. Rebekah and her husband have 4 children, 1 grandchild, and a Dachshund together. They enjoy going on adventures as a family to spend quality time with one another.
Matthew (Parker) Bunnell - Business Development Manager
Parker has worked for Home Instead for several years and is responsible for developing relationships with those in our community and sales. Before Home Instead, Parker attended the University of Vermont where he played Division One Lacrosse for the Catamounts. He has since transitioned and utilized his experience in a team environment and translated that within the office and our team here. Parker enjoys trying new foods, spending time with family, and traveling.
Laura Eckert - Recruitment and Education Coordinator
Laura began her journey as a Care Professional for 10 years allowing seniors to age in the comfort of their own home. Although her love and passion is caregiving in the field, she continued her career in home care behind the scenes and was our Community Training and Education Coordinator for 3 years. Laura is now Home Instead's Recruitment and Education Coordinator. Laura is responsible for all hiring, continued education, and conducting in house training for new and existing Care Professionals. Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children outside of work and rescuing animals in need!
Lauren (Abbey) Griffin - Client Care and Service Coordinator
Abbey started working for Home Instead in 2020 and cared directly for our clients for 1 year before taking on her role in the office as the administrative assistant. She then became our Scheduling Coordinator and is now our Quality Assurance and Scheduling Coordinator. Abbey ensures our Clients and their families are receiving exceptional care experiences and maintains all schedules for Care Professionals and Clients. Before Home Instead, Abbey received her Bachelor's degree at Indiana University East. She enjoys spending time with her husband, dogs, and goats in her spare time.
Samantha Means - Office and Digital Marketing Coordinator
Samantha began her career here at Home Instead in 2022 after she graduated from Indiana University, Indianapolis. She began her caregiving career in 2013 while caring for her dear friend with a terminal illness. When the position at Home Instead became available, Samantha knew this would be the place where she can help others. She assists with all Client and Care Professional schedules and office coordination. Samantha also coordinates our social media platforms to show case our Care Professionals and engage with our community. Samantha enjoys caring for her dog, Luna, plants, and spending time with her husband and family in her spare time.
Colleen Winkler - Administrative Assistant
Colleen began working in the Home Instead Greenwood office in 2024. She came to Home Instead with an impressive background in Administrative work. We look forward to utilizing her skill set to help provide quality care in our senior community. Colleen enjoys spending time with her family and going boating on the weekends!
