Meet Our Home Instead DeKalb Office Team
Rob Mondi 3 3 25 L

Rob Mondi, President

Rob Mondi is the founder of Mondi & Associates, Inc. a Home Instead® franchise that helps seniors age in place and allows families the peace of mind knowing that their loved one is well cared for. The Home Instead® of DeKalb, IL operates within DeKalb County, Ogle County, Lee County, and parts of Kane County.

Before devoting his work fulltime to Mondi & Associates, Inc., Rob served as Franchisee and CFO to 16 Dunkin Donut franchises and over 500 employees with his partner. Rob also worked as Commercial Real Estate Director for a 7 location Franchise group of Keller Williams with over 1,500 residential real estate agents advising and structuring Commercial Real Estate transactions and Business Brokerage. Rob began his career with Merrill Lynch in their Franchise and Vendor Finance Group setting up Franchise Finance programs to all the Major Franchisors. Eventually he moved from the capital markets and structured finance group to a Financial Advisory role helping all Clients including Seniors with Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, Succession Planning and everything in-between.

Rob has worn many hats in his life before starting his journey with Home Instead® in August of 2019. His passion for caring for the seniors in our community began when he helped take care of his own mom after a fall a few years ago. Rob saw first hand how much of a positive impact having a caregiver in the home can have on the recovery of our aging loved ones, and decided that he wanted to be a part of that.

Sandi 2 21 25 L

Sandi McMahon, Service Coordinator

Sandi has been working in the Sycamore area since she was 13 years old. Since then, she has had many different jobs and has acquired experience in a variety of fields. Sandi has decades of involvement with the secretarial pool, but found her passion working in the healthcare field. She has worked in nursing homes, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities, a pharmacy, and even worked in the local hospital where she was crossed trained in everything from answering phones to taking X-rays!

Sandi became a part time Care Professional with Home Instead® in 2017, and has been flourishing as the Service Coordinator since 2021. She enjoys getting to learn as much as possible about our clients and Care Professionals to help make the best matches possible. Sandi loves bringing a positive attitude each and every day, while combining her passions for organization and health care!

Quyler 2 21 25 L

Quyler Dahlberg, HR Manager

Quyler comes from a family background of health care workers, but never would have guessed he would be doing anything but teaching high school science and special education. Originally from the DeKalb area, he moved to Omaha as a kid and spent summers and holidays with grandparents here in DeKalb until moving to Missouri for college. From Missouri he moved to Minnesota where he took a job in a senior living community, suddenly Quyler found himself working as a Lead Caregiver and Medication Tech with a special interest in Memory Care residents - and loving every minute of his job.

Quyler joined the Home Instead® family as a Care Professional in May 2019, and in the summer of 2021 he started in the office. He enjoys getting to combine his love of helping others, his skills for teaching, and getting to know more of the rich history of our community.

Kyle Nunn 3 3 25 L

Kyle Nunn, Training & Engagement Coordinator

Kyle has previously worked in retail, warehouses, and kitchens, but kept finding that his jobs were just work - they lacked fulfillment. He decided he wanted to make a tangible impact on the lives of others, so one day he applied to be a Care Professional with Home Instead®. Kyle gained a lot of experience caring for seniors with a variety of conditions and care needs in his first two years as a Care Pro. In his other jobs before Home Instead®, he often found himself in a training role. When Kyle heard that we were looking for someone new to take over the Training & Engagement position, he was ready to take on this new challenge.

Kyle has been a wonderful addition to our Home Instead® family since 2022, and we look forward to seeing him flourish in his new role. Kyle is excited to help shape the next generations of Care Professionals; to help them understand the importance of this career and how it can impact the aging community we work with every day.

Felicitas Bautista 3 3 25 L

Felicitas Bautista, Office Coordinator

Feli has worked in a variety of workforces - retail, warehouses, and restaurants, but she was always looking to help people. She enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of her clients, and now, helping other Care Professionals learn and support their clients as well. Feli has shown great ambition and dedication to the seniors she helps care for by ensuring she thoroughly understands the care they need and any equipment they use. She's always ready to lend a helping hand and learn something new.

Feli has been a hard working Care Pro since the day she started in our New Hire Training program in October of 2024, and has been a huge help here in the office. She finds a perfect balance as an Office Coordinator a couple days each week and being a Care Pro on the other days - the best of both worlds!
