Caregiver Opportunities – McHenry County & Surrounding Areas

Home Instead® is seeking hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated Caregivers to join our team! We offer a variety of shifts throughout McHenry County and nearby areas.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work one-on-one with clients to enhance their quality of life. Our care goes beyond assistance with daily activities—it’s about celebrating each client, helping them age with dignity, and enriching their lives. At Home Instead, we focus on building meaningful relationships and making the best possible caregiver-client matches. No medical experience or certifications required.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing companionship and engaging in conversation

• Light housekeeping and meal preparation

• Medication and appointment reminders

• Assistance with grooming and bathing

• Help with toileting and incontinence care

• Support with transferring and mobility

• Driving clients to appointments, errands, and shopping

• Specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care

Job Requirements:

• Ability to treat seniors and their property with dignity and respect

• Strong communication skills; friendly and congenial demeanor

• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance

• Minimum of 3 years driving experience

• Must pass a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen

• Minimum age: 19 years old
