After 30 years in an office job and raising a son with cerebral palsy, she stepped into caregiving with a deeply personal perspective. “My son never spoke and used a wheelchair,” she shares. “I lovingly cared for him for 32 years. After he passed, I still had that desire to care for others.”
What she found at Home Instead surprised her, in the best way. “I didn’t know what I was getting into, but I love it,” Sue says. “Every person has a story to tell. I’m here to listen, laugh, and sometimes, just be there.”
Sue’s specialty is companionship and comedy. “I’m a laugher,” she says. “I usually get people to laugh, and sometimes, it’s like therapy.” She builds trust through patience, asking questions, and respecting routines.
