We love discovering local events that bring people of all ages together. Longboat Key’s 4th of July Freedom Fest is shaping up to be one of the summer’s biggest highlights. On Thursday, July 4, from 9 - 11am, the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting this exciting celebration at Bicentennial Park (500 Bay Isles Rd, Longboat Key, FL 34228).
One of the events is the Hot Diggity Dog Parade and Contest, where furry friends and their owners dress in their most patriotic attire. The fun continues with games, food vendors, face painting, sand art, a butterfly release, a clown, and even a contest offering a $500 cash prize for the Most Patriotic Float or Group. With so much to enjoy, Freedom Fest is going to be a great way to connect with neighbors and create festive summer memories.
