John and Stacey Murphy
John and Stacey are the owners of the Home Instead Senior Care in New Port Richey, FL. Originally from Pennsylvania, Stacey and John love to travel with their 2 daughters, Sloane and Layne, and are both avid football and hockey fans.
John & Stacey made a career change in 2014 and purchased the West Pasco Home Instead office, in an effort to live a more rewarding life. The Home Instead journey has been just that, as they advocate for seniors to live well & independently. Their daughters are involved in the family business and you might find them helping in the office or volunteering at a community event. Being home, being well & having family near are all important pieces of their life puzzle.

Taiba Terrell, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator
Tai, who joined our team in 2022, has worked in the recruitment industry for most of the last decade having experience in talent marketing, human resources, sourcing and commercial recruiting at a variety of levels. She has loved her experience in home care and feels that the Home Instead team has become like a family to her. As a recruiter, Tai loves getting to talk with a variety of people every day and getting to know them, their background, and their interests. “There’s no better feeling than making a job offer to someone who is super excited to receive it”. One of her favorite parts of recruiting is when she follows up with our candidate’s once they have gained some experience. Tai loves to hear that new Care Pros are enjoying their newfound career path and they are not only excelling at it but loving it. In her leisure time Tai loves shopping to decorate her home and spending time with her husband and children.
Steve Harkness, Business Development Advisor
I was born and raised in rural, central Indiana and attended Indiana Wesleyan College for my business degree.
My mother was a Registered Nurse, and she started a home care company in the 1970's in the very early years of providing home care as a business. I began working for our family business in the 1980's answering phones and gradually moved up to Director of Operations. Our business grew to cover several counties in Central Indiana providing both skilled and unskilled services. After we sold our family business in 2001, I moved to Florida and worked various positions in healthcare, from consulting for midsize healthcare companies to creating and implementing a readmission reductions program for all Tampa-Area Baycare hospitals.
I am thrilled now to be on board with Home Instead as a Business Development Advisor, returning to my roots of keeping people in their homes where they thrive.
Cristine “Cree” Perez, Scheduling Coordinator
Having over 5 years of customer service experience, I approach every interaction with energy, enthusiasm, and a people-first mindset. I enjoy creating a welcoming environment and making myself approachable and reassuring to ensure a smooth and worry-free scheduling process.
Off the clock, you’ll find me traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, or looking for my next big adventure. I approach life and my career with care, attention to detail, and a dash of fun, aiming to make every experience big or small positive, engaging, and memorable.
Maria Guerreiro, Client Care Coordinator
Maria, who has worked in the medical field for 22 years, joined our team in 2022 as a Care Pro and quickly got promoted to client care coordinator, a position she held with other home care agencies during the course of her career. Born in Portugal, Maria moved to Florida with her husband in 2018 after spending much of her adult life in Massachusetts. She found her passion for caring for the elderly early in her career after taking care of her grandparents and then her parents. Maria’s clients motivate her to strive for excellence and be the most enthusiastic advocate for their care. “Home Instead has advanced my dedication to helping seniors remain in their homes with their families and my extended family has become my Home Instead team members”. Maria enjoys long walks with her husband and spending time with her family of 2 adult children and one adorable granddaughter.
Linda Livingston, Training Coordinator
Linda has been in the healthcare field over 40 years and has been a home health aide with us since 2018. Linda was promoted to Training Coordinator in 2020 and primarily teaches our new hires in Orientation, oversees our dementia training, and manages our continuing education program. Linda still finds time every week to visit a long time client because she especially enjoys working with dementia clients. Linda is from NE Ohio, an avid sports fan, enjoys sailing on the Gulf with her partner, and spending time with her son.
Sonja Bach, LEAD Care Pro
Originally from New York, Sonja worked for a wholesale bank for 22 years. Relocated to Florida with her husband in 2000 and went into the healthcare field working for both assisted living facilities and hospice until joining our team in 2014.
