General Manager Home Health Agency

Position Overview

Home Instead in Palm Beach county is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our home health agency. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and overall operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare operations management and a strong commitment to quality care for seniors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fluency in the Wellsky/Clearcare system or compatible home care/home health system used for scheduling
  • Manage daily operations of the agency to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Actively manage agency compliance with health care regulations
  • Play a key strategic role in the ongoing growth of the agency
  • Oversee client intake, care coordination, and ongoing client care plan management
  • Manage the HR function, performance management, new hire orientation
  • Oversee recruitment, directly manage onboarding, training, and retention of caregivers
  • Manage scheduling, workforce planning to optimize efficiency
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement operational best practices

Qualifications

  • Mandatory significant experience with the Wellsky/Clearcare system
  • Professional maturity and composure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related discipline (required; advanced degree preferred) or equivalent management level work experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive management experience within home health, healthcare, or senior care services
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, state/federal home health regulations (AHCA), and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and achieve operational goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems, Salesforce.com, applicant tracking systems, AI technologies, and Microsoft Office Suite
