Many seniors in our community love gardening. As part of our effort to spotlight local resources and events, we wanted to share an event that’s perfect for anyone who enjoys the satisfaction of watching something grow.
The Palmetto Library Garden Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Palmetto Branch Library, 923 6th Street West, from 8:30am to 10:30am in the Learning Garden. Under the guidance of a Master Gardener, participants help prune, maintain, and beautify the garden while learning gardening techniques, helpful tips, and plant wisdom. Limited gloves and tools are provided, though attendees are encouraged to bring their favorites from home.
If gardening fills your cup, this monthly gathering might be a lovely addition to your routine and a great way to grow a little joy of your own. As Home Instead strives to provide the best home care in Palmetto, FL, we will continue to highlight local events like this that get seniors outside, moving around, meeting new neighbors, and enjoying something meaningful.
