The ability to safely get behind the wheel to visit friends, head to the store, or enjoy a day at the beach is one of the most important parts of remaining independent. At Home Instead, we are always looking for ways to help our senior neighbors remain more independent, so we’re spotlighting an opportunity to brush up on your skills on the road!
The Lakewood Ranch Branch Library, 16410 Rangeland Parkway, is hosting the AARP Safe Driver Classroom Course to help older adults review driving techniques. The course is split into two parts across Monday, February 2nd, and Tuesday, February 3rd. Both sessions run from 10am to 1pm, and you must attend both days to complete the program. This course is a great resource to help you stay safer in your senior years, and it's completely free!
Remember to bring a pen or pencil with you, and the organizers suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early to get settled before the session begins. Register today on the Driver Safety Event Page!
As Home Instead strives to provide the best home care in Lakewood Ranch, FL, we will continue to support seniors in our community by spotlighting events that help with independence. We are here to support your journey every step of the way. Stay safe, stay confident, and we’ll see you on the road!
