Sharon Massafra is a Gerontologist and has worked in health care administration for more than 35 years. She worked in various sub-specialties where the population was predominately older adults including orthopedics, oncology and hospice. In 2000 Sharon left the inpatient setting and purchased a franchise of Home Instead, non-medical home care for seniors. She earned a Master's degree in Business Administration and did post graduate studies in public health and gerontology at New York Medical College. Her committee work includes Advisory Board of the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging, a former member on the Advisory Board of Stone Academy and past President of Connecticut Geriatrics Society. Sharon is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Care Manager Certified (CMC), Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and an Advanced Professional in the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA). Sharon is a native and resident of Fairfield, CT.
