Owner

Laurie Reid Nichols, owner of Home Instead in Ventura County, has a deep passion for caring. Laurie purchased her Home Instead franchise in 1997 after helping care for her 98 year old grandfather. Prior to Home Instead, she had managed her husbands contracting business and saw a need to care for these seniors. Home Instead in Ventura County has been serving the areas seniors with compassion. Laurie loves spending time with her husband, 2 children and granddaughter.

Austin Reid

Austin has a long history with Home Instead Senior Care. His parents, Don and Laurie Reid, bought the franchise office in Ventura County in 1997. He grew up in a culture of service and respect for seniors in the community. Austin began working with the Home Instead team in 2001 after school. Since that time, he has worked in just about every position there is. He has worked in recruiting, scheduling, networking, and even care management. As the Operations Manager, he oversees the day-to-da​​y operations of the business. He is the go-to man for any problem and is always looking for a great way to further communicate the Home Instead story.

Toni Zaragoza

Service Coordinator

Toni started working with Home Instead in 2013 as a Professional Caregiver. In 2016 Toni joined our office staff as a Service Coordinator. Toni is responsible for managing client and caregiver schedules. She is a problem solver, pairing Clients and Caregivers ensuring that their needs are met. Outside of work, Toni loves spending time with her family, camping, biking and walking. She loves animals and enjoys going to bingo with her mother.

Timothy Aguilar

Home Care Coordinator

Timothy Aguilar is Native of Southern California, growing up in the San Fernando Valley. He has a variety of different professional and life experiences that allow him to connect on a deeper level with our Clients and Care Professionals. His first experience with caregiving started after his mother fractured her pelvis and needed care. Timothy relinquished his job and took care of Her 24/7. Since then, he has used his skills and experiences to work with a non-profit serving the homeless community of skid row, volunteering and helping provide services since 2018. Before joining Home Instead, he spent the last year working at a children's rehabilitation hospital providing their patients with companionship and personal care. He gained first-hand experience helping the CNA's transfer patients with Hoyer Lifts and provide personal care assistance. Timothy is our Home Care Coordinator; his favorite part of the job is providing information and guidance to families who are new to in home caregiving. He personally relates to the time in his life that he was introduced to caregiving and was uncertain about finding care for his loved one.
