The current opportunity is a non-medical caregiving position supporting seniors so they can remain at home in comfort and dignity. Whether it’s a family residence, a senior living community, a rehabilitation facility, or any other type of residence, CAREGivers allow people to age safely and comfortably in a familiar environment. The primary responsibilities of this residential assisted living role include companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments and other outings, and specialized services such as stabilization support, walking assistance, and Alzheimer’s/dementia care. All necessary training is provided to ensure CAREGivers are prepared to serve clients and their families effectively.
Minimum Requirements for a Fulfilling Role
Candidates for this position must be able to travel to Arleta, Granada Hills, North Hollywood, Northridge, Pacoima, Panorama City, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Sylmar, Valley Village, and Van Nuys, and possess a valid driver’s license or state identification. Other essential requirements include completing a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen. A minimum of one year’s previous experience as a registered home care aid is preferred, but those willing to obtain registration through the State of California will also be considered. More importantly, Home Instead is looking for senior home caregivers who will treat others with dignity and respect, support those around them, and build value in their service to others.
