Buck Shaw, Owner

Owner, Home Instead, Sacramento, Placer, Nevada, El Dorado and Yolo Counties
For 27 years, Buck Shaw has been a dedicated advocate for seniors in our community. As a trailblazer in the home care industry, he founded the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills Home Instead Senior Care offices in 1997 after spending a decade caring for his own father. This personal experience gave him a deep understanding of the challenges, frustrations, joys, and rewards that caregivers face daily. Buck’s commitment to providing exceptional care for Sacramento’s senior population is unwavering. Under his leadership, the local Home Instead Senior Care office has built a strong legacy of addressing senior issues and giving back to the Capital City’s aging community. Today, Buck’s journey in senior care has come full circle, as he supports his mother through the complexities of dementia. He is currently part of a visionary team pioneering the use of innovative technologies to enhance the care experience for both seniors and the dedicated care professionals who serve them.
