At Home Instead, we love to get out and engage with our community. One way we do this is by partnering with local organizations to create meaningful events for older adults. This year’s 2nd Annual Community Symposium on Aging was a fabulous celebration of senior services in Sierra Madre, CA.
The day kicked off with a warm welcome from city officials and event sponsors, followed by recognition from the Sierra Madre Senior Commission, who honored Heidi Hartman as this year’s Older American of the Year! Visitors enjoyed a variety of vendor booths, senior resources, and a chance to win exciting prizes, including a 3-night stay in a luxury Big Bear home and a silent auction for a 4-night getaway at a WorldMark resort. We had a great time at our Home Instead booth chatting with folks about how home care can support seniors and promote independence at home.
