I started the services with Home Instead last February. I met the client care manager, Chona, for the first time. She came to my house and quickly assessed me and my home setting. She already knew what I needed since I spoke to her over the phone before the visit. She explained to me the services that they can provide, and she gave me a resource book to further explain everything. She was very pleasant, perceptive, and compassionate. I told her my medical condition, and she was very empathetic. She also helped me with my Long Term Care Insurance application. She was able to find the caregiver who matches my needs and personality. Michelle, the Caregiver, is sweet and very caring. She’s a quick learner. On the second day of her shift, she could almost read my mind and anticipate what I needed without being told. I recommend Home Instead to my friends & family who may need care services in the future.
I had a great experience with this service. Our caregiver Emily was very kind and our Dad really liked and appreciated her help.
My experience with Home Instead has been truly delightful. I reached out for services while transitioning into a new community, and the support I received exceeded my expectations. Nicole was the first representative I met. She has been caring, professional, and an excellent listener. As my care manager, she is very attentive whenever I need support. She checked on me right away after a fall, ensured my safety, and suggested helpful safety protocols. I truly appreciated how responsive and compassionate she is.
Ana is also wonderful. She is kind, patient, and very helpful. She took the time to show me around the city and assisted me with getting settled into my new environment. She was thorough with home support and always made sure I felt comfortable.
Home Instead has been very flexible with my scheduling requests, which made the transition even smoother. I will be on pause since I moved to Brookdale, but I would absolutely use their services again and will be referring friends.

I am so late and I do apologize. I do hope they staff can get raise in 2026. Apologies to the wonderful staff. My mom had a fall in December 2025. My sister and I had to quickly put a plan in place for our mom. My sister set up interviews with 2 home health care companies.
I was really impressed with Jean B. who told me about all of the services Home Instead offered. Jean answered all of the questions, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and I felt very comfortable after the 2 interviews going with Home Instead.
All of the care takers for mom have been wonderful. Thank you to Lesly, Jasmine, and Carolyn. All of them have been great. My mom is attached to Carolyn. Carolyn is great for my mom, but I love all of the care takers that have helped. This job can't be easy at times, but all of them are very patient and knowledgeable with mom.
I would definitely recommend Home Instead. I do feel comfortable that my mom is in a good place with the care takers and the Home Instead company.
We needed help suddenly, and Home Instead was reliable from the start. I am amazed they were able to schedule Lesly, Jasmine, and Carolyn so fast, especially since it was the holidays. Everyone we have met at Home Instead (including Jean!) has talents that we need as we navigate all the sudden changes. Each aid has been respectful and kind to my mom and found unique ways to help her during a stressful time. We heard about Home Instead from our neighbor and their recommendation has been validated.
Maria is a very kind, patient, and dependable caregiver. She treats those in her care with respect and compassion, takes time to understand their needs, and remains calm and attentive even in difficult situations. Her gentle manner and reliability provide reassurance to both the patient and family.
Case manager Chona is also very helpful, especially in assisting with finding CP and coordinating needed support. She is proactive, resourceful, and responsive, making the overall care process much smoother for the family.
Maria is our caretaker and she is the best! She is kind, knowledgeable, great with my 92 year old father and a very hard worker! She consistently looks for ways to help my 87 year old mom. Chona the manager is also very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

The comfort, care and rapport Nicole built with us from the start made me feel at ease.She always checks in and is great support for me and my husband. With her coming out for support I am able to take care of my needs while I know my husband is doing activities, going out for walks and getting cognitive stimulation. I appreciate my team so much. A few months ago, when I realized that I could not care for myself, I sought for help. Fortunately, through searching, I came across Home Instead. Hiring them was the best decision that I made because of my case manager, Chona and her team. They go above and beyond to make sure my needs are met at most crucial times. They are compassionate, conscientious, and caring caregivers.
Chona is a great communicator; I never hesitate to give her a call when in need of help. Above all, she keeps excellent communication with my sister to keep her in the loop. I feel fortunate because of Chona and her team's remarkable and excellent caregiving...they have been godsends. Their professionalism, dedication, and unconditional support are highly commendable.
Chona did a great job understanding my home health care needs. And Maria and Gigi were so helpful in getting me back on my feet.
It has been great dealing with Jennifer D. Response time when sending inquiries have been immediate and they are always ready to help answer any questions you may have. We use Home Instead for my mother who is 95 and has dementia and Alzheimer's. Her usual caregiver, Marisella, is very trustworthy and we feel my mom is in good hands. The service has been very helpful, and Chona provides backup caregivers when needed. Chona is easy to communicate with via text or phone or email. Everyone we've interacted with is safe, friendly and knowledgeable whether in person or on the phone. Overall, they provide high quality service and we feel mom is safe which is very important to us. Most importantly, mom enjoys Marisella's daily visits.
These awesome women who were my mom’s caregivers got us through a terrible time when we really needed help. My mom has dementia, but they were endlessly patient, cared for her, assisted her and talked her through difficult moments. Lifesavers! If the need ever arise for our family again, I would not hesitate to turn to Home Instead again. They are professional, kind, knowledgeable and even got my skeptical mom to accept their help. We are very happy with our Home Instead Caretaker, Rosemarie Chavez. She is very perceptive to my brother’s needs and very willing to help him with everything from personal hygiene to cooking, to making sure his dog gets his flea treatments. She has made a big difference in our lives.

Home Instead has changed our lives for the better. My adult sister lives in an assisted living facility and they spend hour upon hour with her. They are my eyes and ears when I can’t be with her. She lights up when they visit and in return they coo and smile and compliment her! She eats it all up. They are the reason my sister is doing as well as she is. Her mental health as a severely disabled person is always going to be a concern. They come with energy, kindness, compassion and joy, making my sister’s day! They work with Regional Center and the facility staff, always communicating with us so that we are all in the same page with her care. I could not do this without them!
I have been using Home Instead Pasadena/Monrovia for 2 years now because my husband has dementia. We have been very fortunate to get a very caring & knowledgeable caregiver. Deon Micheal is our “gentle, jolly giant.” I trust my husband with him.
Home Instead has qualified employees. If you have a problem, someone will help you. You don’t have to be afraid to communicate with the staff. I hope to continue with Home Instead Pasadena/Monrovia as long as I need them.

- By Rick G.I would like to share our story. My 93 year old father was diagnosed with dementia about three years ago. He has been living no his own for many years and my brother and I feel that keeping him independent will keep him with us longer. Almost two years ago after trying to manage and care for him on our own, we decided to contact Home Instead for help. We started with a wonderful caregiver named Kathy and she was able to help us get my dad on some good routines as well as getting a handle on some of the chaos in his life associated with dementia. Unfortunately, Kathy had to leave to take a school aid position. So Anthony my dad's Home Instead supervisor was able to quickly without too much disruption in my dads routine set up a new caregiver and at the same time we added more time and days to his scheduled. My dad was then set up with Carmela who takes care of my dad Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Roxanne who has Saturdays. The remaining days Dad is with us or other family and church members. Unfortunately Roxanne had to leave and we now have Lisa who already knows my dad from assisting with other shifts.
I know there have been several changes with personal and schedules but Carmela, Roxanne and Lisa have been able to step in start and gain my dads attention and trust quickly. They share information and any problems they might have with each other and with my brother and I, this gives us peace of mind and the confidence that he is safe and secure in his own home. I personally would like to thank the entire team at Home Instead in Monrovia for there assistance, communication and quick response to our needs.

I started out with 24 hours of care and have since cut back to fewer hours with no problems. I strongly recommend the Home Instead services for those who need some kind of in home care.

We mostly required 24/7 support, and that is what was provided by their very capable schedulers. All of the caregivers were capable and kind. Nicole, the case manager, was very responsive to any request made. When my mother-in-law contracted COVID, the needed precautions were made seamlessly. After she transitioned to home hospice care, everything was well coordinated between Home Instead and the hospice care provider. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the caregiving support provided by Home Instead.

Ruby, the franchise owner, made a home visit to meet her. She made suggestions to make the house a little safer and then researched her caregivers to select the best possible match for Mom. True to her word the caregiver worked out just great. As time has progressed, new caregivers have come on board. Mom, who is 96 years-old now, is being attended by a wonderful woman, Walterene. Kelly (in the office) is great to schedule adjustments as needed----always on top of her game. Kelly, and Dina sometimes fill in, in an emergency. All of these women work well together as a team and always keep me in the loop of any changes. Mom appreciates having someone in to help her, talk to her, and take her for a walk. Most of all, I am thankful to have such professional, caring, and compassionate women in our lives.

- By CherylWe are hiring Home Instead for my mom. They're very professional. They deliver the people that we need, and they meet my parents' needs. It is going great. My mom needs someone to make her more safe when she walks by physically assisting her, like pulling her hands and making sure that she doesn't trip or fall. The caregiver gets her on campus by ambulating with her, but he also has escorted her, driving her car to various medical appointments and events. He also helps with light meals. He is a good socializer with, not only my mom, but with the people that she interacts with in the dining room. The caregiver is excellent; he is the cream of the crop. He is cordial, bright, interactive, and fun. He will do anything, walk the dog and make my mom sandwich. He is part of the family, to be honest. My sister handles the billing and I think it's fine. She was hoping they would go to once a month, but they don't want to do that. They're having it twice a month. Scheduling is perfectly fine. They're flexible and it helps us a lot. Home Instead has made a huge difference to my mom's life. It has been great. We all like it a lot. Kelly and Ruby have been terrific as well. We have been using them since April 15th. My mom was very opposed to having a caregiver, but now she considers him a friend, and that's a long and big difference. She looks forward to him coming. He got a bit of charm and persuasiveness.
