No one, especially our seniors, should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. That’s why at Home Instead, we’re always looking for community events and resources that benefit older adults, and we proudly feature them here to help spread the word!
One upcoming event is Councilman Alex Padilla’s Community Food Drive, for The Food Pantry LAX. This event will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 10am to 1pm at the District 2 Community Center - 1201 N La Tijera Blvd, Inglewood, CA. The food drive is collecting non-perishable items such as:
- Cereal
- Crackers
- Protein bars
- Granola bars
- Vienna sausages
- Cake mix
- Jams
- Peanut butter
- Canned fruit/veggies
- Canned tuna/salmon
- Potatoes (boxed or packaged)
- Mac n cheese
- Diapers
- Bottled waters
- Individual drinks (juices)
- Small toiletries
- And more...
These donations go a long way to ensure families and seniors have access to food every single day.
