Stress has a funny way of finding us, no matter what age. Luckily, the Home Instead team is great at finding local events that use creative ways to reduce stress. There's an upcoming program that combines music with relaxation techniques.
This Sunday, May 24th, from 1pm to 5pm, join Uke Therapy at Tempe Public Library, 3500 S Rural Rd. It's a relaxed, beginner-friendly wellness program that uses simple ukulele playing as a therapeutic tool for emotional regulation, social connection, and mental well-being. Nurse Nancy Cowan, who created Uke Therapy, blends music with evidence-informed practices to create a relaxing musical experience rather than a strict lesson. If you want to join, you are advised to bring your own ukulele and comfortably know the C, F, and G chords.
As Home Instead strives to provide the best home care in Tempe, AZ, we’ll keep sharing local events that give seniors opportunities to check out new ways to stay healthy.
