At Home Instead, we love sharing local events that offer something a little different. This summer, the Southwest Library is giving adults and seniors a chance to explore the stars right here in Southern Tucson, AZ.
On Wednesday, July 2nd, from 2:30 to 4pm, head over to the Southwest Library, 6855 S. Mark Rd, Tucson, AZ 85757 for the Library Telescope Observing event. Thanks to a partnership with the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association, you'll get to view the moon, planets, and distant celestial objects using the library’s new 4.5-inch Orion StarBlast telescope. TAAA staff will be on-site to guide you, demonstrate how to use the telescope, and point out fascinating sights in the sky, like the Andromeda Galaxy, located over 2.5 million light-years away!
While Home Instead strives to provide the best home care in Southern Tucson, AZ, we will continue to spotlight experiences like this to help seniors stay connected to their sense of wonder, learn something new, and create lasting memories.
