That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Vincent Altruda, Executive Director & Owner

Vincent Altruda, Executive Director & Owner

Vin, Executive Director and Owner of the Home Instead Senior Care Grand Rapids South office since January 2018, brings a wealth of management and team building experience.  Previously, he was the CEO of Espresso Royale in Ann Arbor and held various senior management positions, including Worldwide President at Borders Books & Music.  Vin is passionate about caring for others and feels his work at Home Instead is one way to honor his parents who chose to stay at home during their final years.  He is the proud father of five children.  Outside of the office, Vin enjoys being with family, raising his two younger boys, spending time outside, and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines.  


Joyce VanDinther, Client Care Coordinator

Joyce VanDinther, Client Care Coordinator

Joyce is the Client Care Coordinator for Home Instead Senior Care, responsible for client recruitment and retention.  Her favorite part of the job is working together with clients and families to provide care that enables them to stay in their home and optimize their quality of life. Joyce began her career with Home Instead in 2012 as a CAREGiver. She has also worked as a nurse in the home setting and as a volunteer at Raybrook Manor.  She is a graduate of Calvin College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  Outside work, Joyce loves to spend time with her family and enjoys running.  She is the proud mom of three children. 


Amber Kinnell, Communication & Education Manager

Amber Kinnell, Communication & Education Manager
Amber joined the Home Instead family in December 2018. Her strengths in communication, organization, and hospitality have helped her to be a successful Service Coordinator and will be a strong foundation for her transition into the role of Communication & Education Manager.  Amber's background includes over 15 years of management and hospitality experience. Her role in the office will include supporting and educating CAREGivers. Her focus will be developing strong connections with CAREGivers, Clients and the local commuity. In her free time, she enjoys being creative and spending time with her husband, sons, and pets!


Brittany Hall, Service Coordinator

Brittany Hall, Service Coordinator

​Brittany joined the Home Instead team October 2019 as the Service Coordinator. Brittany's best characteristics are her passion for people and her loving hospitality to everyone she meets! She is excited to build schedules and relationships with CAREGivers and clients alike. Brittany worked in the food service industry for over thirteen years, which built a foundation and strengthened her desire to work with people in all stages of life in a more personal and direct way. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys time with her husband, friends, family, and snuggling up with her fur babies. 


Tori Sheckler, Lead CAREGiver

Tori Sheckler, Lead CAREGiver

Tori has enjoyed being a CAREGiver with Home Instead for nearly four years.  She also serves as the Lead CAREGiver splitting her time between the office, where she helps create a more productive work environment, and her clients.  In 2017, Tori received her Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medical and Intercultural Studies.  She and her husband enjoy working with people and traveling abroad where they hope to serve others through pediatric medical missions.  Tori is an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist and enjoys leading Sunday morning worship at her church.  She and her husband are proud parents of their daughter, born earlier this year.
