2018 is drawing to a
close, and we end the year with an outstanding CareGiver of the Month for
December, Yamile R. With her beautiful smile, and caring deposition, she has
been with Home Instead for almost 1 ½ years. She is originally from Cuba, and
came to the US in 2004. Yamile says she learns something “almost every day”
from her clients, and quickly becomes attached to them. Her current client and
family praise her for becoming part of their family in a very short time, and
are so happy she has done so. Yamile enjoys spending time with her husband,
likes to read and cook, and says her best meal to prepare is rice with
beans. Thank you Yamile for your sweet, caring heart, and congrats on a
job well done!
Our October CareGiver of the Month is Jaishauna W. Jaishauna
has worked since she was 19 years old with disabled adults and children, and
started her career in healthcare because her Grandfather recognized this as a
calling for her. She has been a CareGiver with us for the past 2 years, and
“loves” her clients, as they love her back. One of her current clients describe
her as “ perfection in a caring person”, and states how much she does over and
above to make her comfortable. In her down time, Jaishauna enjoys spending time
with her 2 little girls, and likes to work out at Shapes. She likes to
cook, and likes even better to eat Japanese food!

Irish eyes are smiling on our Caregiver of the Month for
September, Mary L. Mary and her lilting accent is from Ireland, and
has been in the US since 1987. She is celebrating her 1st
anniversary with Home Instead this month, and says she found her “calling for
caregiving” by helping friends with their health issues. She is married with 2
grown children, likes to work out, and loves to cook.
Her clients all praise her sweet spirit, caring heart, and
going the extra mile whenever asked. Home Instead is proud to have such an
excellent Caregiver as Mary, and happy to add her to our Wall of Fame. Thank
April showers bring May flowers! And we are happy to add a
beautiful flower to our garden of CareGivers- Dwanda! Dwanda has only been with
Home Instead since Jan. 2018, but she has rapidly bloomed into a great
caregiver. She says she loves people, and taking care of them. She also
loves taking care of her 3 children, 2 boys and a girl. Her favorite thing to
do is have a “dinner date” with her family. Dwanda is a Tampa native, and
enjoys rooting for the Buc’s. Her client wanted it known that she is
“nice, dependable, and a very good cook!” Thank you Dwanda for helping make our
garden of great caregivers grow!
time for March Madness- but it’s nothing but peaceful smiles from our COM for
March- Jillian B. Jillian joined our Home Instead team 6 months ago, and
has quickly become a fan favorite with staff and clients alike. She has 3
important “people” in her life, that include her dog Dixie, cat Molly,
and a two-legged boyfriend. She enjoys hiking, going to the beach, and engaging
in wholesome conversations. She wants to make a difference in her clients
lives, and enjoys getting to know their life stories. She frequently is
referred to by her clients as “their favorite”. Thank you Jillian for being a
great team player, and an asset to Home Instead!
New Year and welcome to 2018! We’re starting the year off right with a
great CAREGiver – Jessica V. Jessica has been with Home Instead since the
summer of 2016, and has been with the same clients for almost that long. Her
clients share that she is an “angel”, and her smile is something they look
forward to seeing every visit. Jess has 5 children, 4 boys and a girl,
and in her down time, enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her
family. Jessica found her heart for caregiving by taking care of her
stepfather, and has plans to continue her career by starting school for Medical
Assistant this year.

time to think about gratitude…what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving
season? Home Instead is grateful we have CG’s like Marie C.- our Caregiver of
the Month for November. Marie has been with Home Instead for almost a year, and
has been a friendly, and comforting presence to her clients. Marie thinks
everyone “should be treated like family”, and lives out that mantra each and
every day with her senior clients. Marie is a welcome addition to our 2017
roster of caregivers of the month. Thank you Marie!
Welcome to 2017! We’re starting off the New Year, with a
relatively new CareGiver of the Month for January, Sandra A. Sandra has
been with Home Instead since July of 2016, and was chosen to be our COM due in
part to her enthusiasm, and willingness to work. She is well liked by
staff as well as her varied clients. Good job, Sandra!
We are ending 2016 with a wonderful newcomer to the Home
Instead family – Adriana is our CareGiver of the Month for December! Adriana
has been with HISC for only 3 months, but was chosen due her willingness to
accept shifts, and the high praise she is receiving from her clients. She
is a native of Columbia, and has been a CNA for approximately 6 years. She
enjoys spending time with her family, has a 16 year old son, and likes to play
ping pong, travel, bowl, and likes to cook. Thank you Adriana for being part of
the Home Instead team. Merry Christmas!
As we enter into this season of Thanksgiving, we
are so pleased to nominate a very special caregiver for COM for November- Fay
B! Fay has been a dedicated Home Instead for over 5 years, and is well-liked by
her clients and families. She not only provides wonderful care to her clients,
but one family also shares how much they appreciate her care of their
pets! We love our Fay, and celebrate this honor she so richly deserves.
October has arrived with a mighty wind… not Hurricane Matthew,
but our Caregiver of the Month, Nehemi! Nehemi has been a CG for almost a
year with Home Instead, and has helped provide care for a variety of clients.
She has always been praised for her attention and caring by her clients,
and her willingness to go the extra mile. She describes herself as quiet and
shy, but we see a loud and mighty heart! She loves the color purple, and wears
her Home Instead colors proudly. Thank you Nehemi, for being as asset to the
Home Instead team.
Home Instead is so happy to welcome CareGiver Mendi as our CareGiver of the Month for September! This honor is long overdue for Mendi, as she has been a dedicated and faithful employee for almost 10 years! She is a busy mom to 2 sons and 1 daughter, as well as her four-legged "kids", Scooby, Candy and Scrappy. She enjoys the beach, spending time with her family, and likes to cross stitch. Her clients praise her easy going attitude, and welcome her sweet smiles. , Mrs. H., a current client, says it all-"we just love her!". Thank you Mendi- we love you too!
It’s August, and definitely beach weather-
perfect for our CareGiver of the Month, Maggie S. Maggie loves the beach, and
plans to spend her upcoming 34th wedding anniversay celebrating on St. Pete Beach. She likes to cook, and work in her flower garden when she’s not
happily providing care for her HISC clients. Maggie keeps a close eye on her
clients, and they appreciate her care and attentiveness. Maggie is a mom to 5
children, and a grandmother too! Thank you Maggie for being a great
CareGiver for Home Instead!
Home Instead of Brandon, FL is delighted to welcome CG Carmelle to our
wonderful group of CareGivers of the Month, for the month of July, 2016. Carmelle
is a very special lady, with a sweet, quiet demeanor, outstanding work ethic,
and well-liked by staff and clients alike. In addition to her role as a
CareGiver, Carmelle is a busy mom, and currently is finishing her AA degree in
Nursing. She enjoys reading, and hiking in regional State Parks. We’re not sure
when she finds time for any outside activities with her busy schedule, but
she’s always ready and willing to provide outstanding care to her clients.

We are halfway thru the year for 2016, and are happy to
announce our June CareGIver of the Month- Cindy M. Cindy has been with
the Brandon office over 7 years, and is delighted to be selected as this
month’s recipient. She enjoys mosaic pottery work, playing with her 2 dogs, and
also works part-time as a Realtor. Her clients love her, and she is well known
for her southern culinary skills. We are proud to have Cindy recognized
as our June COM.
We have a new flower to add to our garden of
CareGivers! HISC is pleased to welcome CG Tylise as our CareGiver of the
Month for May. Tylise represents the best qualities of Home Instead CG’s. Her
calm, soothing voice, in addition to a pleasant demeanor, make her a perfect
fit for her elderly clients, especially her Alzheimer’s clients. Family members
praise her care, her concern, and competency. Tylise has recently decided to
take up fishing, and states she will not give up until she “ hooks the big
one!” We hope you catch one soon! Thank you Tylise, for being a great CG.
April is the start of Spring, and we have the perfect CareGiver
for this month. Say hello to Ferbelia, one of Home Instead’s happiest
CareGivers! Ferbelia has been with the company for over a year, and walks in
with a smile and great attitude to her clients every single day. Her
clients all praise her for her work ethic, and sweet spirit. She is the Mom to
4 children ranging in age from 26 to 15, likes movies and shopping, and sings
in her church choir. We are proud to welcome her to this elite group.
Home Instead happily recognizes Tameka as our CareGiver of the
Month for March! Tameka has shown herself to be dependable, outgoing, and
very well-liked by her clients. She enjoys her family, and is a great
crocheter- even making a current client a beautiful quilt for Christmas- in her
favorite colors! We are proud to have Tameka as a CareGiver for HISC.
We are so happy to announce our February CareGiver of the
Month! We think it’s appropriate that our very own Zebe is this month’s CG, as
she fits the criteria as a true sweetheart to her Alzheimer’s client, and a
much appreciated asset in our Brandon office during this month of love. Zebe
has been with Home Instead for over 2 years, and is our in-office
Administrative Assistant. She has 2 children, and loves spending time with her
son at his soccer games, and shopping with her newly married adult daughter.
She is always ready to “Share her Heart”. Congrats Zebes!
We are starting off 2016 with the January CG of the Month- Janet N! Janet has worked for Home Instead in more than one locale, and has provided wonderful care to her clients, keeping one Alzheimer's client happy at home for almost 3 years. Janet enjoys her job, and takes pride in providing the best care possible. We are proud to start the year off with such an exceptional CareGiver as Janet. Congrats Janet! Keep up the good work!
It is the final month of 2015, and last but not least,
Shaquilla T. has been chosen as our CG of the Month! Shaquilla is an HHA, and
has been a CareGiver for Home Instead for over 18 months. She's one of our very
quiet CG's, but goes about her work with
diligence and determination. Her clients praise her for her sweet spirit, and
going the extra mile. Shaquilla is a Mom, friend, and daughter, and Home
Instead considers her an asset to our team. Thank you Shaquilla!
Home Instead Senior Care is proud to welcome
Donesha K. to our roster of wonderful CareGivers. She has been selected as
the CG of the Month for November! Donesha has been a CG for one of our
early Alzheimer’s clients for over a year- she has been steadfast in providing
excellent care, and stimulating activities to keep her client active and
engaged .She participated in the Art for Alzheimer’s with her client, and
continues to encourage her client’s newfound love of painting with watercolors.
They are trying to grow zucchini’s on the back
porch! Donesha is the proud mom to 2 young children. Thank you, Donesha - for
sharing your heart.
Kimberly W. is our CareGiver of the month for July. Her clients describe her as kind, understanding and always greets them with a smile. Kim has been with Home Instead since March of 2015, and we appreciate her care, her ability to “think outside the box” and dedication she brings to her clients. Keep up the good work, Kimberly!
Denise has been a CareGiver with Home Instead for almost 2 years. Her sweet spirit and willingness to go “the extra mile’ has been recognized by her clients as soon as she is on a case. Words like “hard worker, good cook, and the best ever!” are why Denise is our CareGiver of the month for June. Way to go, Denise!
