Andrew Garrean - Owner

Andrew Garrean - Owner

​Andrew graduated from Baylor University in 1994 and planned on becoming the next advertising guru. While working in advertising his grandmother become ill which turned into almost a full-time family caregiver position for his mother. After witnessing the rewards and difficulties of caring for a loved one at home he sought a position at Home Instead Senior Care's home office in Omaha. In 1999, Andrew managed the original Home Instead office and became very passionate about keeping seniors at home. His passion lies in finding long term in-home solutions that will improve and enhance a senior's quality of life while preserving dignity. In 2001, he was offered a promotion into Omaha's corporate Home Instead office but declined to open the Tulsa franchise. Andrew prides himself on being the longest tenured owner in home care in the Tulsa area, being in business since November 2001. He loves the fact that Home Instead has made such a difference in the Tulsa community for so long. Outside of work Andrew enjoys record collecting, live music, golf, cooking and wine, dogs, and travel.


Kara Palmer - Client Care Coordinator

Kara Palmer - Client Care Coordinator

​Kara earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Langston University in 2016. She is a board certified Registered Nurse with the State of Oklahoma and our Client Care Coordinator. Her background in nursing has stakes in Adult Emergency Room Care and she has 10 plus years of customer service experience.

Kara was born and raised in Tulsa, OK where she currently lives with her husband, who is also her highschool sweetheart. She enjoys spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews, cooking, reading, listening to music, spending time outdoors and learning new things!


Ashley Graham - Bookkeeper

Ashley Graham - Bookkeeper

​Ashley has been the Bookkeeper since 2012. She coordinates our CAREGivers schedules and assigns them according to our client's preferences and needs. She likes serving seniors because she loves to see the difference that is made in their lives. “It is great to see how our entire staff, from the owner, to my co workers and to the CAREGivers, truly care about helping seniors and are passionate about caring for them.Together, the face of aging is changing for our seniors. She is proud to be a part of such a great company. She has 2 girls that keep her busy when she is not at work and she also enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.


Daniel Whisenhunt - Client Care Coordinator, LPN

Daniel Whisenhunt - Client Care Coordinator, LPN

​Daniel Whisenhunt has been an LPN for 8 years and was a CNA for 4 years prior. He has worked in home health, clinics, Long term care and rehabilitation facilities, and has 2 years experience as the Director of nursing in assisted living facilities. Daniel has been married  for 12 years and adopted 3 children who are siblings. He enjoys working with seniors because of the chance to make a difference to their lives, learn from their experiences, and they are appreciative of the time we spend with them.


Shane Johnson - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

Shane Johnson - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

​Shane is from Poteau, OK.  Shane felt a passion for health care after suffering a spinal cord injury at the age of 19 and realizing the importance of good care. Shane graduated from Carl Albert State College with a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2004. He has experience in hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation facilities, and in home care. Shane continued his education and graduated from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith with a degree in Business Management / Human Resources in 2016.  Shane started with Home Instead Senior Care in August 0f 2017 as the Recruiter and HR Coordinator in Rogers, AR.  After deciding to move to Tulsa, he joined the Home Instead - Tulsa team as Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator.  After receiving his degree in business, he knew he wanted to be a part of providing care to individuals in need.   He understands the needs of individuals in need as he was once the patient and he prides himself on being able to help change seniors lives.  He enjoys his dog, working out, socializing with friends and has started an online dating service for people with disabilities.
