Kellie Weber - General Manager

Kellie Weber - General Manager
Kellie is our General Manager for the Cary and Rockford offices. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Kellie has twelve years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has spent seven of those years in skilled care as a Nursing Home Administrator and five as an Executive Director working in assisted living communities. 

Kellie has a passion for working with seniors and believes every person is unique and we should not only focus on their physical needs, but their social, emotional and spiritual needs. Her goal is to help seniors and their families find options to live their best possible life. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, running and watching her son play hockey. Kellie also volunteers for a local non-profit youth organization as a rules and ethics board member.

Terrie Gee - Office Manager

Terrie Gee - Office Manager

Terrie has been in the health care for over 17 years. Terrie started, with Home Instead Senior Care as a Lead CAREGiver, in 2017, and has had the opportunity to be in a variety of roles, within the company, and has recently earned her current role, as the Office Manager for the Cary office.   

Terrie prides herself in being an active advocate for the senior community. She believes that the elderly are living, breathing history, with a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. She holds her elders in such high regard and believes that they all deserve compassionate care, respect, and to have their dignity kept intact.   

 "I firmly believe that just because a person ages, does not mean that they must give up their independence or their ability to have a say in their own life.  I believe that at Home Instead Senior Care, we give our client's their voice back and I can't think of anything better"!  



Crystal Smith- Service Coordinator

Crystal Smith- Service Coordinator

Crystal worked as a Caregiver with HISC prior to becoming a Service Coordinator. She personified skilled and compassionate in-home care, giving families the ease, the comfort and safety within the confines of their home. Her current role as Service Coordinator handles not only the demands of scheduling but also the intensive charge of matching the right caregivers to clients. The opportunity of meeting new clients, their families, and supervising the quality of care they render are just few of the rewards she enjoys. 

Identifying perfect matches can at times be painstaking, but her diligence renders perfect fits at most times. Her warmth and calm demeanor her best tools to scheduling prowess. 

Crystal believes in the power of "family"; and proud to be part of HISC's service to many. She has been married to her husband of 17 years and honored mother of a US Marine.

Emily Lahey - Client Care Coordinator

Emily Lahey - Client Care Coordinator

Emily is our Client Care Coordinator - she has a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Anthropology and Human Services as well as being a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Dementia Care Trainer. Emily has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, spending most of those years in Assisted Living and Retirement Communities.

Emily grew up in McHenry county and enjoys being able to serve the community in which she lives.  She joins our team with the goal to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. 

In her spare time, Emily enjoys being with her family, and going for walks at the local forest preserves or kayaking with her husband and bringing along their three dogs! 

She loves helping seniors find the solution that fits their individualized needs.  Her favorite part of Home Instead Senior Care is that we don't offer "cookie cutter services" and we provide services that fit each person's specific needs.  She enjoys being the person to help identify issues and offer solutions to help seniors remain as independent as they can be, in their home.



Jill Marthaler-Recruitment Coordinator

Jill Marthaler-Recruitment Coordinator

Jill has joined Home Instead Senior Care in October 2017 as Recruitment Coordinator. She takes pride in over ten years experience in Human resources and recruitment. Jill holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and MA in Human Recourses from Webster University. She was previously employed with two Fortune 500 companies prior to HISC.

Her innovative approach in recruitment enables her to actively hire deserving caregivers and enrich our roster. The screening process allows for quality selection to welcome candidates with remarkable passion for Senior Care and the sincerity of helping the needy senior population. Jill upholds relationship building and diversity in her role, vital to her commitment to recruiting, hiring and maintaining quality caregivers to serve the community.

Jill and her husband enjoy being avid supporters of their two daughters in their chosen sports - high school Varsity Pom's and Swimming. Their cocker-spaniel Coco is their bundle of joy.

Jo Chovanec - Bookkeeper/Payroll

Jo Chovanec - Bookkeeper/Payroll

Jo is the Bookkeeper for Home Instead Senior Care since 2010. Her competence and tenacity are pillars of her expertise in her position at HISC, not to mention her previous work experience. She handles receivables and payables, ensures precision in numbers enabling her to help clients out with their financial questions and concerns, giving them peace of mind, and a dependable business office.

After twenty years of dedicated service, she has retired from the US Navy. In life, she firmly believes in the power of positivity as a rule of thumb. Her mantra that "yesterday is not ours to recover but tomorrow is ours to win or lose," gives away her sense of determination in all she does - a great positive stance towards a happy life.

Jo has three children and eight grandchildren whom she is always thrilled to equally dedicate her time for. Jo loves gourmet cooking, crafts and is a very outgoing person.
