Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation

On Call Supervisor Duties:
  • Work mostly from home.
  • Receive all office phone calls on evenings and nights from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.
  • Job sharing with a peer on-call supervisor to cover all 7 days per week. 
  • Answer calls in a friendly, professional manner. Respond quickly to voicemail, email, and text messages. 
  • Handle time-sensitive scheduling changes (ie. CAREGivers calling in sick). A regular, daytime office staff member is always assigned to back you up.
  • Monitor and log both client and CAREGiver activity in our web-based software.
  • Take messages and document all calls so office staff can respond if necessary the next business day.
  • Gain mastery of our computer and phone systems. 
Compensation:
  • Payscale designed so you never get paid less than $14/hour for actual hours worked. Assumption is 2 hours of work each evening/night. 
    • So, on an evening where call volume is low and you work 30 minutes, you still get paid the $28. 
    • On evenings when you work more than 2 hours, you will be paid $14/hour for time worked. 
  • In-office trainings and meetings paid at $14/hour.

Field and Office Support Coordinator Duties:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Introduce CAREGivers to clients in client homes and review service plans. Conduct impromptu one-on-one training with CAREGivers in client homes.
  • MUST HAVE ADVANCED CAREGIVING SKILLS: Bathing, Toileting, Incontinence, Transferring, Body Mechanics, Dementia, Medications, etc.
  • Supervise CAREGivers in client homes to ensure policy compliance and to observe and facilitate the strength of the CAREGiver to client relationship.
  • Schedule and report on these client introduction activities.
  • Deliver paperwork and supplies to client homes.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming calls with warmth and competence. Greet and help visitors to our office.
  • Organize paperwork, files, packets, and electronic documents for the various departments in the company.
  • Assist with service scheduling and CAREGiver recruiting as needed.
  • Gain mastery of the technical systems, processes, and resources we rely on. Must be confident and competent with computers.
  • Other duties as assigned by General Manager to support the overall operation of the business.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The client care coordinator serves as a primary contact for our senior clients and their family members at all stages of the service relationship. The client care coordinator reports directly to the client services manager and offers critical insights to improve our service delivery.

Some of the functions are as follows:
-Conducting pre-service assessments
-Developing and implementing service plans
-Managing safety and risk in clients’ homes
-Performing regular in-home quality assurance visits

You must be a licensed driver with current insurance as the job involves many home visits with our clients throughout Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, and Sherwood. On-the-job mileage is reimbursed.


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and TRAITS
-Social Work Background:
The MSW credential is preferred and will result in a higher hourly wage. This position carries a client case load of up to 60 or 70 clients. Must be able to show empathy and care while working efficiently with many clients and situations each day. 
-Communication Skills: A strong ability with written and spoken language are keys to effectively coordinating with office staff, CAREGivers, clients, and client representatives.
-Persuasive Skills: Pre-service assessments are opportunities to engage families, determine their needs, and if appropriate, influence them toward the solutions we provide. A high percentage of your pre-service consultations should result in new client service.


SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, AND BENEFITS:
-This full-time position of 40 hours per week (8am to 5pm, with 1-hour lunch).
-$18 to $23 per hour (or higher) based on experience, credentials, and fit.

-At least one year professional scheduling experience...preferably in healthcare.
