Preston & Aimee - Franchise Owners

Preston & Aimee - Franchise Owners

We are the owners of Home Instead Senior Care located in Portland  Oregon. For many years my wife and I both felt a very strong desire to not only one day own our own company, but to also find a path that would lead us to helping other people, guiding a team and most importantly, better our community. I had the wonderful opportunity to care for my grandfather for a little over 2 years while in college. That experience forever changed my life, an experience that ultimately led me to owning this rewarding business. During our amazing path and discovery of the Home Instead Senior Care business, Aimee and I have been reminded, almost daily, that this is our fate. Aimee has even coined our extraordinary journey and experience as our "Our God Moment". We feel we've found the perfect ingredients to our dream in this amazing opportunity with Home Instead Senior Care. Furthermore we full heartedly believe in Home Instead Senior Care and the Core Values established by the founders Paul and Lori Hogan.

  • Honor God in all that we do
  • Treat each other with dignity and respect.
  • Continue to grow the value of our service
  • Encourage growth in ourselves and in others

We have also created our office "Vision" for our Portland location, we hope that it aligns with your desire and needs from an in-home senior care company.

Our Vision:

To ENHANCE
the lives of families in our community.

By Building
quality relationships with those that we touch and the
CAREGivers that we employ.

Our SUCCESS
will be measured in their peace, joy, security and trust in us.

We are so very blessed and love helping those that need us most, our seniors! To us, it's personal.
Warmest Regards
Preston & Aimee

I grew up in central California and moved to Portland for college. I went to PSU for Political Science and absolutely fell in love with Oregon! Not too long after I moved up here my sister and her husband followed. Now the roles have switched and I have followed her to Home Instead! My sister Andrea worked with HISC for 2 years before I joined the team, and loved it! When I heard there was an opening with Home Instead I knew it was something I wanted to be involved in. I love working with CAREGivers and our seniors; seeing daily how much people care and want to make a difference in each others lives. Above all, I love seeing the compassion and kindness that our CAREGivers bring to every client. I feel very blessed to be a part of it!

In my spare time I enjoy camping with my husband and my dog Hillie. I am passionate about vegan cooking and am always trying perfect my baking skills.

I have lived in the Portland area all my life and most of my family is still in the area as well. My Grandma Ward was a big part of my life growing up, and in her later years I was fortunate enough to help in caring for her when Alzheimer's came into her life, and in turn ours. Grandma brought so many things into my life, teaching me daily skills, how to be kind to others, how to enjoy the simple things and many memories of the great lady that she was. I truly love working with our clients.  Seeing the smile on their faces, listening to the stories they have to share and knowing we are able to help them with their daily needs. I’ve gained invaluable knowledge and experience working with our Seniors and feel blessed to be part of their lives. (maybe it can go before the last sentence?) When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my 2 children and weekend getaways to places in the Northwest with my boyfriend Marc.

I am the newest member of the Client Care Management Team. I am excited to have joined the Portland Home Instead family and have quickly realized I am surrounded by an amazing team of individuals who strive daily to better the lives of our clients. Originally from Australia with a background in Adult Disability Services, I moved to the US in 2003 after meeting my husband online! Since moving to the US I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working with seniors. Starting as a Caregiver in Assisted Living moving up to a Medication Assistant, Resident Services Coordinator and Administrator. I look forward to working with and getting to know everyone as we continue to make a difference in the lives of the seniors we serve!

Jennifer

Jennifer

Jennifer is our CAREGiver Retention & Training Manager and has worked for Home Instead Senior Care since 2008. She is responsible for training and retaining our wonderful CAREGivers.

I began working with seniors right out of college. First, with a home care agency, and then with hospice. My passion for seniors stems into my personal life, as I would visit my own grandmother weekly; a routine we kept until her passing in 2015. My son Bishop is now her namesake. While obtaining my degree in Social & Human Services I spent a lot of time with the homeless population, transitional housing, and troubled youth. I have a general love for people of any age and serving others.

When I am not working I love hanging out with my family, which includes our doggle (Beagle/Doberman mix) Samson! I enjoy camping, shopping, dancing, ANY arts & crafts and repurposing old stuff.

Brittany

Brittany

Brittany is our Recruitment and Retention Coordinator in our Clackamas County Office. She has been with Home Instead since 2013. She is responsible calling CAREGiver inquiries, scheduling interviews, interviewing and training of our CAREGivers.

I have spent my entire career in the Senior Care industry. I have always been passionate about providing a quality service to our seniors and making sure that they have the resources they need. Especially, as I continue to watch my grandparents age, it becomes even more near and dear to my heart.

My husband and I just welcomed our first child, Penelope. I love to spend time with my family and getting out into the city. I think living in the PNW is the best and enjoy all that comes with it. I am also a BIG Vikings fan!

Andrea

Andrea

Andrea is our CAREGiver Experience Coordinator. She has been with Home Instead since 2014. She is responsible for taking CAREGiver inquiries, setting up interviews with potential CAREGivers, conducting the intial interviews and assiting the Recruitment and Retention Team.

I have spent many years in the Senior Care industry in Oregon, and have worked for several different companies, so I can say that Home Instead is by far the best! I’m so happy to work for a company that helps our seniors age in place and cares deeply about the community. I’m also very lucky to work with my sister, Alyssa, who is at the front desk!

When I’m not in the office, I’m painting, creating digital art, watching nerdy movies, or playing games! I have a BA in Art History, and a huge love for animals of all kinds. I currently have a three-legged pup “Sophie,” and a giant cat “George,” and it would be more if not for my husband’s allergies!

Jan

Jan

Jan joined Home Instead Senior Care as our Business Development Manager in 2013.  She is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our referral providers in the community.

My passion for seniors stems from living next to my grandmother from the time I was five until I left for college.  She has been the most influential person in my life and lived to the age of 97.  My favorite memories are of the time spent with her as I was growing up.  As traditions go, I have spent the last 2 years caring for my grandchildren, who are the joy of my life.

I have worked in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Elder Law and the past 25 years I have spent in Home Health, Hospice and Home Care with a focus on helping folks receive supportive services while staying in their homes.

I attended Walla Walla University in pursuit of a degree in Education and live in Canby with my two dogs Missy and Boo - who is a Therapy Dog. In my free time I create jewelry and dabble in a variety of art forms.

Gretchen

Gretchen

Gretchen is our Bookeeper and has been working for HomeInstead Senior Care since 2008.

I have 10 years of office experience assisting in accounting and other clerical duties. My family has always been my passion. I have three sons and two grandchildren. My oldest son has been in Iraq since 2001 and we are hoping he will be coming home by the end of this year. Three years ago my husband and I moved into my parents home to help my father take care of my mother with Alzheimer's.

My hobbies are creating stain glass windows, gardening, cooking and being active outdoors.
