"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
John and Kathleen have owned and operated the Home Instead Senior Care of Minneapolis since April of 2008. He attended the University of Minnesota and has over 25 years of experience in marketing and management. John oversees the day to day operations that require a high level of communication with clients, CAREGivers and office staff.
"As a franchise owner, providing a quality service in our community is my commitment to our clients. I hear great stories from our CAREGivers about the difference they make each day to assist our clients in staying independent, and their family members knowing they are safe when they cannot be there."
Kathleen is the CFO for our franchise with a bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota and a Masters from St Thomas University.
"It is personal to me because I can relate to our clients and their families. I know what it is like to want to be there and do more for an aging parent, while at the same time manage my own family and career."
Lori has experienced the joys and rewards in the health care field for over 35 years. Following her time caring for her own parents, Lori chose to continue the path of professional CAREGiving with Home Instead Senior Care. In 2011, she joined us and has had the opportunity to provide care for several clients of varying degrees of need. She is now a key member of the Client Care Team and her professionalism and compassion truly stand out every day!
"It's personal to me having been a daughter who arranged care for my family, it is key to keep in mind that everyone has a unique story and are to be treated with respect, kindness and compassion. Clients and their families may be assured of my commitment to their excellent care."
Jessica Comes to Home Instead Senior Care with a broad spectrum of caregiving experience. As a teenager, she worked in a group home with developmentally challenged young adults, which sparked her love for caregiving. Jessica then attended nursing school and spent many years in acute care settings before moving into homecare. She has spent the last several years in care coordination, staffing, and overseeing client services. As the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, Jessica is responsible for vetting, hiring and orientation of our CAREGiver staff. She will never compromise when making a hiring decision of our trusted staff.
"It's personal to me...I want our clients to have absolute trust in the CAREGivers we send into their homes. To know they are in good hands. To know that we have been selective in finding the special someone to be there in their time of need."
It's personal to me because I love working with seniors and their families and have alway had a strong passion for helping others. Having been a caregiver for my own parents, I understand the challenges families face and am dedicated to ensuring we are delivering the highest quality of care to our clients and families. It is an honor to work for Home Instead Senior Care and along side a compassionate and collaborative team dedicated to improving the lives of seniors!
Beth is a Master's prepared RN that started With Home Instead Senior Care in 2010. She brings her clinical skills, teaching experience and compassion for the chronically ill and elderly to the home care arena. As the RN Supervisor, Beth oversees the licensed care division, performs competency training for all CAREGivers, and other RN services as needed.
Susan comes to Home Instead Senior Care to serve as our Service Coordinator. Her first job out of college was working as a group home coordinator and outcome coordinator for women with dual diagnoses. Recognizing the eternal strength of the soul in people with severe challenges inspired her to move into working with youth and families as a youth minister and chaplain. After years of volunteer coordination, team building, and program design, she brings a cleverness in integrating the best caregivers with our clients and the needs of their families. She is a graduate of Iowa State University with a double major in Psychology and Statistics and has gone on to graduate work for a Masters of Divinity. She has three teenagers, two dogs and too many books to read. She views the work of senior care as a ministry; every single person whom we care for at Home Instead is considered as though he/she is a family member. Watching her grandmother suffer from Alzheimer's and watching her own parents age inspires her to ensure she is offering our clients the very best we have to offer. Be advised: if you encounter someone with a contagious laugh and a joyful spirit, you have probably just met her!
