We’ve been so impressed with our parents’ Home Instead caregiver Maria. She is so kind & gracious and thoughtful. She quickly learned my parents’ routines & quirks and now anticipates their needs. Her communication skills & personal charms are exceptional. She even manages to talk them into doing their PT exercises & drinking more water, and all those little details that are so important in keeping them “independent” in their own home in their 90’s.
We have used Home Instead for my parents for over three years and are very happy with them. The office staff have worked hard filling open positions when a caregiver is sick or changes jobs. And they are helpful keeping us informed about any issues that my parents have. I love that HomeInstead works hard at providing consistent caregivers. My parents are much more relaxed with caregivers that they have developed a relationship with. Their current caregivers Liz, Imani and Maria are outstanding! They are all so caring and are so good at anticipating my parents needs. They are experienced and have grown very attached to my parents. We really appreciate everything they do.
From the first meeting to establishing care from a caring professional, working with Home Instead has continually exceeded expectations. I was concerned about how well my elderly mother would adjust to having someone helping her with some of her most personal activities. Over the past 3 months, I've found out how unfounded my concerns were. From the moment my mother and I sat down with Lori, it was very clear that she was interested in determining my mother's needs, and then determine the care services she needs. Prices were clear, there was no hard sell, no pressure. When we decided to move forward, Lori and the rest of the office staff made it easy. With how busy we all are these days, having clear and easy steps to follow, along with answers to questions provided promptly, it saved hours. They made it clear that finding the right person for my mother was important, and that if for any reason they didn't, they wanted to know and would provide other options. That said, I never had to test this because Lourdes is just fantastic. She's become a trusted caregiver, companion, and confidant in just 3 months. Overall, when it comes to providing care for my mother on some of the most personal areas of her life, when she's most vulnerable, I've come to trust Home Instead. Trust is earned, and they've earned ours.
Our caregiver Kevin was a natural. Whether it was rides to a doctor's appointment or mastering a puzzle, he was right there, with kindness and fun, for my parents.

From the first interview, my experience with Home Instead was excellent. My husband's caregiver was a delight, getting to know and understand my husband despite the fog of dementia. He also helped me with a few domestic chores - gets a gold star for laundry folding! To a person, the other staff were not only competent, but caring and responsive as well. The mechanics of coordinating invoicing and reimbursement with our insurance company also went very smoothly. For seven months, Home Instead was a mainstay!

Tim was terrific. My 85-year old Dad was ready to sign up for care, and then, at the very last minute, he balked: He became angry at the prospect that he needed help to stay at home. But Tim stayed calm and respectful, giving Dad the time and space he needed to come to his own decision on the matter. I credit Tim’s warm demeanor and friendliness from preventing the whole thing from falling apart. He did a great job getting Dad back onboard. Thanks, Tim!

They have been timely, responsible, kind and flexible in providing in-home care for my parents and in communicating and coordinating with me about their scheduling and care. I am very very happy with the service they have provided. it has enabled my parents to remain in their home together much longer than would otherwise have been possible.
