Helpful FAQs
The Appleton and Oshkosh teams serve neighbors across Outagamie, Winnebago and Calumet Counties — the heart of the Fox Valley. With 150 Care Pros and office teams in both Appleton and Oshkosh, families throughout the region have a local contact who can respond quickly when needs arise or change.
The community includes city neighborhoods and surrounding smaller communities. Families may be balancing work, distance and caregiving, while older adults want to keep familiar routines, seasonal travel and connections to local life. Local Care Pros help with meals, errands, appointments, companionship and personal care — and the office adjusts support as needs evolve.
The Appleton office coordinates with discharge teams at ThedaCare, Ascension and Aurora, along with local rehabilitation facilities, home health providers and Aging & Disability Resource Centers (ADRC). When a care plan is in place and a suitable caregiver is available, the team can often arrange support around the discharge date — including same-day discussion of needs.

Yes. The Appleton office has a registered nurse on staff who supports care planning, caregiver training and Nurse Directed Services (NDS). NDS allows specially trained Care Pros to assist with medication management, diabetes and glucose testing management and oxygen therapy — all under the RN's oversight and authorization.
The RN conducts both classroom training and individualized, client-specific preparation for every Care Pro assigned to an NDS plan. This is not skilled nursing — the RN determines which tasks are appropriate and designs the care plan accordingly.
The team participates each year in the Alzheimer Association's annual Walk to End Alzheimer's, the Outagamie County Caregiver Coalition and Falls Prevention events. The office volunteers with the Fox Valley Advanced Care Planning initiative and offers free presentations at the Mary Beth Neinhaus Center for older adults and families navigating care decisions.
Each Christmas, the team participates in the Be a Santa to a Senior community-giving campaign, raising more than 100 gift donations for isolated and in-need seniors in the Fox Valley.

Typically within 24 hours. Same-day meetings to discuss needs are possible. A start date depends on the care plan, any required caregiver preparation and confirmed staffing availability — but the local team moves quickly when families reach out in an urgent situation.
