Our CAREGivers get the opportunity to work one-on-one with their clients and actually get the time to know them. Our world-class Caregiver training focuses on the aging process, keeping clients and CAREGivers safe, but also how to build healthy relationships with clients. We offer additional classes/training on Personal Care, Alzheimer's, Parkinson, Diabetes, COPD, Strokes, Hospice Care, etc. We are here to support CAREGiver's!

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Personal Care
• Alzheimer's Care
• Respite Care
• Hospice Support

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:

• Work 20 or more hours a week including weekends
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Successfully complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, and car
• Previous related experience preferred but not necessary - skills training provided by Home Instead Senior Care
• Complete our world-class CAREGiver training program
• Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life
• Performing other reasonable duties as assigned
• Reporting hours according to office policy
• Reporting any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions
• Regularly communicating with supervisor and office staff

Essential Qualifications

• Must be minimum of 19 years of age
• Holds the minimum education, experience and skills to perform responsibilities
• Complete a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, two professional and two personal reference checks
• Complete a DMV check showing clean driving record
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Possess valid auto insurance
• Understand, speak, read and write English clearly
• Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach
• Ability to walk independently up and down a normal flight of 13-15 stairs
• Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner

Wages range from $11.25 - $15/hr (depending on types of care provided)
Experience preferred but not required: Will accept previous Caregiving/HHA/CNA/LPN/RN (with or without licenses/certifications)
