What qualifications are required for employees?

All employees:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • At least one year of US work history 
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English on an average adult level
  • Your own car for daytime work (overnight assignments do not require a car) 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
  CNA and HHA employees only:
  • Current CNA certification issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing (required for MD personal care clients) 
  • Current CNA or HHA certification issued by the District of Columbia Board of Nursing (required for DC personal care clients)
  • Provide proof of negative tuberculosis test prior to first assignment and annually thereafter
  •  Provide proof of Hepatitis B vaccine or sign Declination Statement prior to first client assignment
  •  Provide proof and maintain current CPR training certification

On Call Supervisor

Job Details

Position:  On Call Supervisor

Reports to:  Director of Operations

 

Mission Statement: Enhancing the lives of aging adults and their families.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes strong relationships with external and internal customers to ensure the highest level of customer-service and operational excellence.
  • Responds to all phone calls within 20 minutes, including re-staffing client shifts; handling
  • emergencies with clients and/or caregivers; prioritizing responses to calls received; and answering any client and/or caregiver questions or concerns.
  • Documents all phone calls (including any communication with Back-up Supervisor) with date and time, who called, phone number, issue, action, follow-up, and # of minutes it took to handle phone call.
  • Provides accurate, thorough, and timely On Call Reports that are sent by required time each business morning.
  • Ensures conformity to company-defined regulations and operating procedures.
  • Contacts Backup On Call Supervisor when uncertain about regulations, operating procedures, or questions/concerns.
  • Contacts Registered Nurse if there is any question/concern related to a Personal Care client, Plan of Care, or any other medically-related question or concern.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Weekday Requirements:

  • Review Email On Call Report by 5pm each weekday
  • Email detailed On Call Report by 8am following the evening on call

 

Weekend Requirements:

  • Review Email On Call Report by 5pm Friday
  • Email detailed On Call Report by 8am Monday morning

This position is responsible for maximizing our existing referral relationships, as well as seeking out and establishing new referral relationships. We are looking for a high energy, results-focused candidate who is committed to the growth of our organization. This individual must be a self-starter, have excellent relationship management skills, and be adaptable to the ever-changing senior care industry.

Primary Job Functions:

• Develop new client leads by establishing/maintaining exceptional ongoing relationships with referral sources in hospitals, rehabs, hospice, assisted living and independent living communities, etc.
• Meet sales growth targets
• Generate community awareness of our services
• Consistently implement and document a weekly sales plan
• Deliver exceptional customer service

Job Qualifications:

• At least two years outside sales experience; preferably in consultative sales
• Healthcare experience in the senior industry a plus
• Proven, tangible track record of sales success
• Strong planning and execution skills
• Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of large or small groups
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Entry Level Administrative Assistant

Job Details

We are looking for an Entry Level Administrative Assistant to perform an unlimited range of administrative duties.


Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary first point of contact for visitors, assisting them as needed; manage the reception area to ensure effective communication both internally and externally to maintain a professional image;
  • Answer and disseminate phone calls, transferring calls to the appropriate person;
  • Provide administrative services to staff as requested; order office supplies and keep those supplies well stocked; coordinate shredding day, and other duties as required;
  • Share Back-Up On-Call Supervisor duties on weekdays (once a week) and weekends (one weekend/month);
  • Back up various positions in office when staff is out of office;
  • Attend periodic training and other company events;
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities and duties. 


Qualifications
  • Experience using MS Windows, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel is required. General administrative skills must include excellent communication (oral and written) skills. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, flexible, adaptable, reliable, punctual, organized, and have demonstrated ability to multi-task. Must have the ability to interact efficiently, effectively and professionally with all individuals both within the company and externally, and have 1 – 2 years office or similar experience.
