​The need for in-home senior care services doesn't always arise between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Robert Ware - President

Robert Ware - President Background: Robert has a long history of serving his community and country, as a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force and the New Castle County Police Department. He became the Director of Operations for Home Instead Senior Care in 1999, after realizing his passion to assist seniors in his community.

Why senior care? Robert has a special aspiration to serve the vast local Veterans population. He ensures every staff member takes their job personally and understands the mission of actively changing the face of aging for our local senior population.

Amanda Schultz - General Manager

Amanda Schultz - General Manager Background: Before Home Instead, Amanda had a career working in finance and sales. During that time she gained experience in client services and corporate management.  She is also a philanthropist at heart and spent 10 years as the vice president and charity director for a local charity organization and has helped with several independent fundraisers for those in need.

Why Senior Care? Amanda finds joy in helping others and was looking for a career change to do something that made her happy. During her time with our company, she has found a love for serving the senior population.

Julie Boone - Operations Manager

Julie Boone - Operations Manager

Background: Julie joined the Home Instead team in 2008 initially as a CAREGiver. She also worked as a Recruiting and Retention Coordinator and more recently, a Client Care Coordinator ensuring that all client received they care they needed. Julie has extensive experience in the field and working with seniors in a multitude of capacities.

Why senior care? Julie's passion for working with seniors stems from her own personal experience of caring for her elderly mother. She is eager and willing to help anyone in need.


Wendy Kerr - Service Manager/Engagement Coordinator

Wendy Kerr - Service Manager/Engagement Coordinator

Background: Wendy joined the Home Instead team in 2015 as a CAREGiver.  She brings 25+ years of caregiving to the team. Her strong ability to develop relationships and trust with clients and caregivers has been a tremendous asset to our team.

Why senior care? ​​​​After caring for her grandmother and realizing what a positive impact she had on her grandmother's life during her time of need, she understands how important it is to care for our seniors. She has a strong desire to see all seniors in need receive the care they deserve.


Bridget Brown - Service Coordinator

Bridget Brown - Service Coordinator

Background: After growing up in a military family, Bridget served 10 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and has had the opportunity to experience many different cultures. While in the Coast Guard, she volunteered for activities like reading to seniors and helping at local nursing homes. Bridget is able to use her life experiences to connect with our CAREGivers, clients, and families on a personal level to provide the best experience for each of them. 

Why Senior Care: Bridget always shared a special bond with her grandparents and became their main caregiver, caring for her grandfather during his battle with cancer, and then her grandmother after her grandfather had passed. Recognizing the difference she made for each of them until their last days, she knew that she wanted to be a part of an organization that made a positive difference in the lives of seniors. 


Angela Easley - Service Coordinator

Angela Easley - Service Coordinator

Background: Having spent many years in the customer service field and supervising in a call center, Angela was needed to provide care for her aging parents. She has a compassionate and caring nature and is able to be the calm voice in any situation. She truly lives up to our Core Values: Communication, Accuracy, Teamwork, and Integrity. 

Why Senior Care? Angela chose to work for Home Instead Senior Care after her experience as a family caregiver who received assistance from Home Instead for her parents. "Everyone was so helpful. They cared for my dad mostly, but always made sure my mother, who had dementia always felt included. I knew this had to be a great place to work. After I began working for Home Instead, I immediately felt like I was a part of the family."  


Marianne Jackson - Client Care Coordinator

Marianne Jackson - Client Care Coordinator

Background: Marianne comes from a background in arts and music, where she loved seeing people of all ages honored and celebrated for their talents. She especially appreciated that the oldest were sought out as mentors, valued for their years of experience and cherished for the stories they had to tell. Within this creative community, Marianne was known for her skills in organizing events, bringing people together, and treating everyone with kindness and respect.

Why Senior Care?  During her husband’s long illness, Marianne learned the importance of having a skilled caregiver there when you need help caring for a loved one at home. She is happy to now be part of a team that brings this support and comfort to others.


Michele Rudzik - Home Care Consultant

Michele Rudzik - Home Care Consultant

​Background: Michele joined the Home Instead team after working in pharmaceuticals for 30 years. Through her career she developed a knack for building relationships with all types of people and strengthened her listening skills to be able to accurately make suggestions to help meet her clients needs. After retiring to Delaware, Michele joined the Home Instead family and has been a wealth of information for her clients and their families to help get the superior service they deserve. 

Why Senior Care: After being a primary caregiver for her mother after she was diagnosed with dementia, when Michele saw the advertisement for Home Instead Senior Care, she knew the position was meant for her. She rejoined the work force to ensure the seniors in her area are well cared for while they remain in the comfort of their own homes. 


Lee Wagner - Administrative Assistant

Background: Lee Graduated in 1977 from Lancaster Bible College with a B.S. in Bible and then began working in an administrative role for manufacturing companies. Like many of our staff, Lee began her career with Home Instead as a CAREGIVER and then transitioned into an administrative role. Her cheery and compassion personality is an a

Why senior care? Senior Care chose Lee. While she was looking for a part-time position after relocating to Delaware, she saw an ad on a local job board and applied. She fell in love with caregiving and continues to care for her clients when she is not working in her administrative role.


Laura Reed - Recruitment Coordinator

Laura Reed - Recruitment Coordinator

Background: Laura is a Certified Nursing Assistant who graduated from Polytech High School. She also has education in Drug and Alcohol counceling and Human Services.  Her background helps her to make strong connections with our clients and their families to ensure we provide them with adequate care.  

Why Senior Care? Laura loves working with seniors, not only because she feels her help is appreciated, but even more so because she appreciates what she can learn from the clients. She feels,  "Every person I work with is different, which allows me to walk out of any interaction with a valuable lesson."
